The restaurant, our breakfast was not included. Our service was terrible. The staff was nice but didn’t take note how long we had been sitting waiting for our order to arrive. Those seated much later than us had ordered, received and left before our breakfast came. They did comp our coffees which was nice of them.

It was a little bit pricey but in line with other accommodation in Edinburgh and worth it for a special occasion

We had a beautiful 2 bedroom apartment, the decor was lovey and it was well maintained and fully equipped. The location is outstanding, right in the middle of the Royal Mile and close to everything but not at all noisy. The staff were so friendly and helpful too.

Perfectly located on the Royal Mile! Great staff, great facilities: very clean and very modern. Rooms were spacious and nice amenities. Restaurant on-site was fantastic quality and they take reservations. Highly recommend!

Great location apartments very well appointed the new reception on the mile replaced the old one in the court yard and is excellent. Walked down the advocates close to waverley every day and took the train out play golf. On the way home the devils advocate is perfectly located for a rest with the golf bag and a pint. Highly recommended we have stayed there a number of times

Same 2 waiters in the bar each night were friendly to patrons but talked far too loudly between the 2 of them.

Coffee should offer free refills given the teacup size and cost in hotel restaurant. However, coffee available in room with a bottle of fresh milk that was free to use.

Location is prime. The room was as excellent as our first visit. The courtesy of staff was generally attentive and nice. We'll come back for the 3rd time whenever we visit Edinburgh in the future, surely.

I had a great stay at Cheval Old Champer Hotel. The location was fantastic—close to many key attractions—which made getting around very easy. The apartment itself was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff at reception were friendly, professional, and always ready to help. One small downside was the cupboard in the main bedroom, which was quite small and not very practical. Adding some drawers or extra storage space would be a big improvement. Also, on our last day, we had requested and received approval for a late checkout at 12 instead of 11. However, the housekeeping staff knocked on our door and told us that checkout was at 11, speaking in a rather bossy tone, which was disappointing.
