Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomNothing - just know it’s communal eating so you have dinner with whoever else is there. We enjoyed that a lot but it’s not for everyone and we didn’t know until we arrived!
Fantastic decoration, stunning location, super comfortable bedroom and wonderful facilities. The food was exceptional

United KingdomFelt slightly chaotic!! The ethos of feeling like your in a friends country house and not a hotel is wonderful in theory, but always having to go and find someone is a bit odd!!
Quirky, warm and amazing food!! The chef was only 24 and dinner was wonderful!!

Israeldinner are overpriced for what you get. 100GBP per person, wine alcohol or the early cocktails not included, and dinner consists of three very small tasting menu and very small dessert. all guests were hungry at the end and way poorer. still I wouldn’t miss this dinner because the whole experience is fun. I would just recommend the hotel to either add more courses to the meal or increase portion size. it was the only part where I felt price was a bit unfair.
the location is magnificent. the hotel is decorated beautifully with so much attention to details and even some sense of humor. the staff (especially Amy) were super helpful, going out of their way to help with anything you need. the place feels like being part of a Tim Barton movie. we loved every minute. dinners are super expensive but they are fun. you get to drink and dine with the other guests hear their stories and bond for the night.

NetherlandsRemote country house set in beautiful gardens next to the sea. The interior decoration is absolutely stunning, with every room in a different colour scheme and with carefully selected furniture. Loved it! We were offered a complementary visit of the Glenmorangie distillery, which was a nice surprise. The joined dinner was nice and an interesting concept to meet people. The whole atmosphere gives you the feel you are invited to visit someone's country home, rather than staying in a hotel.

United StatesThere really aren’t enough words to express how outstanding this property is. Photos do not do the location or house justice. Additionally, the food, whisky, and service are outstanding. We were lucky to get a reservation in the first place, and luckier still to be able to be rebooked when our travel was derailed. If you are thinking about it, give yourself the pleasure of staying here.

ItalySome minor details: the tap in the bathroom was extremely noisy when turned on. There is no a real reception area, and our check in has been done with another couple in a weird way. No keys for the room, “it is safe” (they say) until something happens.
The property itself is gorgeous, each room is perfectly decorated with luxurious details. The quality of the dinner was suberb.

High quality experience, highest standards, beautiful decor wonderful ambience. The Glenmorangie House experience and stay is nothing short of exceptional in every aspect. We were absolutely enthralled by our visit and would highly recommend this venue. The tasting dinner in a carefully created setting was beyond stunning we enjoyed whisky tasting coastal walks and a fabulous Scottish breaks too. Finlay and the staff were superb. There can be no higher accolades in Scotland than those deserved by Glenmorangie House.

I can describe the place with one word MAGIC. Unbelievable place, nature, house, room, SERVICE- exceptional. Thanks a lot for Andrea, Victoria, Stuart, Amie, you are amazing. I felt myself as at home. All environment, service was so warm, attentive, we have been surprised and very much thankful for all of you. Now my dream is to have such home as Glenmorangie House. I would advise while making the reservation, take diner as well. It is exceptional. As in best restaurants in the world. Pre-dinner, after dinner time was spectacular. We seat close to fire, have been served with whisky Glenmorangie, enjoy tea, enjoy 5 * dinner with cozy environment. The room was fantastic. We asked the team to show us other rooms as well, each of them is exceptional. Wherever you stay, be sure, your room is exceptional and unique. Will come again and again to enjoy House charm and hospitality. Thanks a lot for hospitality for all the team once more !

United KingdomNo 'bar' prices apart from wine list. Consequently we were shocked at prices of drinks on bill. Didn't spoil our stay but made us think twice about return...pity. I'd also ask for clarification of booking details as there was a minor dispute over DBB status on documentation sent from Booking.com. In fairness this may not have been hotel's fault, but it left a slightly bitter after taste.
Fantastic premises, food very good too. Refurbished recently and utterly beautiful rooms.
