Minor problem with shower head. Not fixed properly. Low level security light above the door that stayed in all night.

Wonderful location with the canal & narrow boats nearby. We were attending a family wedding on Thursday so we opted for the cold breakfast which was amazing. Plenty of food. So quiet

Lovely little pub with a good drink and food selection. Clean facilities, nice rooms but beds a little soft (personal preference so not down marking them for it). Breakfast was great and reasonably priced, only thing I’d have liked is a fan in the room as it was pretty warm even with windows open.

Room was very clean and looked as if it had been freshly decorated. Good range of tea/ coffee and a choice of milk,together with still and sparkling water.

Room was a bit chilly and the flush button was broken on the toilet which made it awkward to flush.

Small room but adequate. Mattress needs replacing. Shower is small, water pressure low and doesn't get properly hot.

Well managed country pub. Room adequate, clean and comfortable. Good fish and chips in restaurant. Usual requirements provided - tea etc. soap/shampoo. Pleasant staff.

service charge on food bill - didn`t know about that un-till bill came - to be fair the lad took it off when i explained that my company wont pay service charges - it just took the edge off a lovely meal and evening

the location is fantastic - by the railway and canal - but you cannot hear the trains when in the room - room was comfortable and very clean = food was good

To offer a fair & balanced review, we personally felt the room rate was a little overpriced at £100. We were warned on check-in about the strong smell of paint & had to keep the window open all night. The room was clean but quite tired, particularly the bathroom. Ok for an overnight stay.

Perfect location for us following a day shopping at Bicester Village. Lovely warm welcome, log burner, cosy feel. Food superb - can recommend the steak & katsu curry. Nice wine. Great team. Thank you.

The room was well equipped but a little damp. We had to dry the quilt with the hair dryer before going to bed on the first night. Also the clothes we hung up became very slightly damp too. We believe this was due to the very humid weather and the room itself not heated at this time of year.

Continental breakfast was good and well presented. The welcome from all staff was outstanding and we were made to feel very comfortable. We plan to come back later this year.

Room was a little dated, bathroom tiny with no space to put anything and was looking very tatty, toilet seat loose. We stayed on a Saturday night as attended a wedding locally, on Sunday morning it was sooooo noisy. We were woken up early with people banging doors and talking loudly there’s no sound proofing at all it was really noisy and there was a constant loud beeping alarm coming from somewhere which was really annoying
