The personel could be al little bit more open/ smile some more. Most of the seemed like if they "need to work there and are not enjoying it". Tip: if you smile more (while serving people), most people automatically don't mind if things are taking a little bit longer or something that is not going according to plan. Furthermore, the a la carte menu could use a little bit more variation. The options for breakfast were also too limited to our opinion. Maybe some extra continental options or (kid friendly) options like pankakes.

The room, spacious and the location of the hotel.

There was delay with the serving of our evening meal. We had booked, but there was an influx of diners, which made it difficult for staff to keep up with demand. However the food was excellent when it arrived.

We had a very pleasant stay in this excellent hotel. We chose a deluxe room and it met our expectations- very quiet and comfortable. Very good breakfast too. Easy parking too.

Bed was a lil uncomfortable becasue it was two beds pushed together, only if you moved to the middle of the bed it was not great. Other than that it was fine.

The food was very good, the staff were on it. Drink selection is good. 15/20 minutes drive to Oxford or burford to go more in to Cotswold.

A great place to relax after a days walking. Hidden in a small village 1 mile from the Thames Path. Food in the restaurant was a good and the breakfast provided had a good choice. Staff were very attentive and provided a friendly atmosphere

The restaurant food (chateaubriand) wasn’t very warm and not at all exciting for the hefty price. A discretionary service charge of 10% is automatically added to restaurant bill you can easily miss especially if they email the bill to you. Although I paid this after discussing with the manager I regret this Americanism creeping in. They do not charge the extra on room rates.

Really lovely pub restaurant. Extremely comfortable room and superb bathroom. Management & staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast excellent.

Nothing - air conditioning would have been nice as it was very hot during our stay but you can’t expect it in a period property like this and a fan was provided :)

Great quality, well presented and spacious. Comfortable rooms, lovely large en suite bathroom and quirky touches to decoration that made it feel special

Bed seemed to be short, feet were hanging off the end. Not a major issue but could be for a taller person.

Bathroom was done out in dark wood laminate. Wet room shower - water goes everywhere and no independent shower head for moving it around. Sink plug does not work properly and so it constantly drains with the tap running and has no depth. Layout in the bathroom is strange!

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food was good - dinner and breakfast. Pleasant environment. Decor good. Bed comfortable

A beautiful stay in The Cotswolds

Diners on the Saturday night who didn't respect the rules and let their dog up on the bench seating. I thought the manager dealt with them very fairly though.

A wonderful stay at this beautiful place for two nights (Friday and Saturday) whilst we attended the Royal International Air Tattoo. I'd originally booked the accessible room for my partner and his brother to share, but plans changed and I ended up staying with my partner in this beautiful, large, comfy room with the biggest shower ever. Every detail is taken care of, from the in room coffee machine, with fresh milk from the bar if you want it, as well as fancy tea bags. The food was out of this world. We had dinner and two breakfasts and enjoyed every bite. I had the Pork Chop with the Romanian Bean Stew on Saturday night and it was a taste sensation. I had major food envy looking at everyone else's too and wished we could have stayed longer. Happy hour each evening from 5 - 7pm was also very enjoyable. The staff were so warm and friendly and made us welcome from the moment we set foot inside. I had to do some work from there on Friday and I was looked after very well. We loved that The Harcourt Arms is dog friendly, and we met so many lovely well behaved dogs - and their owners. Would definitely recommend and hope to stay there again one day.

The hotel was quite comfortable and well appointed. The staff was welcoming and helpful. It was in a perfect location for us, with an hour drive to Heathrow and away from the Cotswolds traffic. We enjoyed our dinner and the breakfast options were excellent.
