On arrival we were taken to a smaller room with a smaller bed than we had booked ( we booked a Superior King according to Booking.com) the bed looked to be a double. We asked for this to be checked , the female member of staff was very helpful and friendly but the male member of staff she spoke to and who later spoke with my husband was far less so, insisting that all the beds were the same size, asking my husband quite sarcastically had he been measuring the bed and referring to what seems to be an inaccurate bed list on the wall in the bar before then blaming Booking.com. Quite rude. When we were then shown the larger room by the female member of staff (who was lovely) after showing photographs of the size etc you could plainly see the bed was much bigger and the room too. Staff need to know what they are offering, indeed some of them may benefit from the tape measure approach.

Lovely character pub, cosy atmosphere. We stayed in the annex rooms which are a separate building . Lovely size room with very comfy Superking bed (2 x singles together) large bathroom. The room was close to the railway line but the trains were infrequent and no issue. Breakfast took its time but we were in no rush and when it arrived it was lovely. Nice quality products and very well cooked.

No one responded to my messages regarding a dinner reservation, that I sent twice before arrival. As it happened there was no problem and dinner was good and at the time we wanted, but a confirmation response would have been helpful.

The bedroom had the main road outside , it was warm so we had the window open(noisy) . When we closed window as not so hot much better.

The staff were amazing. So kind, friendly and so helpful. Food was terrific, brilliant chef. Location was very good for visiting Bath. Bus right outside the Northey Arms. Also easy driving to visit Stonehenge and Avebury. Brilliant four days.

Nothing except their payment system. They needed to know the cvv number of a credit card at the desk rather than receive payment via a card reader and using a PIN. This opens the way to internet theft if a rogue employee decides to record the card information. This happened to us at a Brussels hotel. The company as well as the card holder could suffer considerable damage. They need to fix this.

Beautyful rooms and Pub/Restaurant. We enjoyed the Ford very much. Although the House is next to a street, there was no noise. We loved our stay there and would definetly come back.
