The woman working the bar (and doing check in) was wonderful, and very helpful. Room was easy to get to from the street. Nice bar.

Property itself was quite basic and tired. Could do with a modernisation. New mattress in bed would be a good move forward as my wife and I met regularly in the middle.

Great location for what we needed. Easy access to food and drink Evening meal in pub was excellent! Parking outside was useful. Easy to come and go.

Comfortable accommodation in the annex of a small pub. Very comfortable and clean; Though the room is small it is quite cosy. I stayed on a Saturday night and was not disturbed by noise at all, the pub itself closed at 11pm. Only negative is there was no stand up shower, only a bath with a handheld shower. This is a minor gripe.

Fun little pub. Maybe 15 minute walk into town. My room didn't have WiFi. Bath only so takes a while to get the volume/temperature right. Quiet/comfortable nights sleep. Great value for money.

A few tired items but all the key criteria were met or exceeded. I was only staying for one night so only really needed a bed to sleep and a shower to refresh myself in the morning.

I thought the room (Room 2) was very good and exceeded my expectations. The bonus to the room was the part of the room with tea/coffee making facilities and space for a chair, a suitcase, and to hang some clothes. There was an ensuite which was more adequate.

Creaky floorboards in the room above, but that is common with many of the old buildings in Shrewsbury. Breakfast not included.

Ideal location for for me to visit a relative. However, it may not be ideal for someone who wants to be right in the centre of Shrewsbury; though it is not that far from the centre.

The loud, creaky floorboards in the room above. However, that is common in old buildings in Shrewsbury.

Location. Not too far from town, and not too far from the person I was visiting. The lovely character pub and restaurant in the same building. The price was reasonable.

Some areas eg soil pipe in bathroom, beams in bedroom, wall by bed in need of deeper cleaning. No towel rail in bathroom (despite wiring being present!)

Small but comfortable room. Good heater, bed, toilet and mugs clean. Pub is a bit out of town but has a good atmosphere and the food is good. Staff are friendly and efficient.

The staff are fab here, always very welcoming and can’t do enough for you. It’s good to be able to park. The pub is great with good reasonably priced food and drink. They also offer a breakfast at the weekend.

There wasn’t anything I didn’t like about The Old Bell. It was just perfect for our needs and we would stay there again.

The room was very comfortable, warm and quiet. The staff were really so friendly and welcoming! It was just a 10/15 min walk into the centre of town. The beer in the pub was good too!
