Slight damage to shower head in room.

Room was lovely, shower was powerfl, although it needs a slight repair to the shower head. Breakfast was very good. Location is great, very central. We stayed on Saturday night, and after visting all of the other pubs in Faringdon we came back to the Inn and enjoyed some excellent live music. The bar was busy with a great atmosphere. A great place to stay and explore the Cotswolds.

Would have liked warning of live music on the Saturday night. In the end that and the courtyard noise didn’t keep us awake too long. Breakfast was good but the “one cup of tea or coffee included” seemed unnecessary!

Room although small was all we needed for one night. It was clean and water and coffee provided free of charge. Bathroom was average but adequate for the night. Staff helpful and enjoyed the location and character.

Bed wasn't very comfortable and duvet very thin, so not warm, (no spare blankets). No instructions for coffee maker.

This was our second visit to The Old Crown Coaching Inn. The first was on our wedding night in January 1972! 53 years later it still looks much the same from the outside, although the interior has been updated, and has the usual facilities installed that we've come to expect. The bar and restaurant staff were friendly and helpful. A pleasant, characterful place to stay. There were only a couple of minor points which I'm sure would have been dealt with had we been staying for more than one night.

Only real challenge was the car park. It's hard to find (hidden little side alley) and quite small ("first come first served") but managed to squeeze in. I had to ring the hotel for directions to find it. Just bit of a faff late at night but that's all.

Needed somewhere for an overnight stop whilst travelling so arrived at 9pm, slept, got up and left next day. Got a free room upgrade when booking. Nice and spacious. Comfy bed and slept well. Freshly cooked breakfast (did me a gluten free one). Staff very helpful. They also allowed me to keep my mountain bike in my room. Although a brief visit, it served it's purpose and would use again.

We emailed and told Seb we were vegan, he emailed back about a veggie brekky. This info wasn't passed on so we were offered tomatoes, mushrooms and toast. Our son (who's birthday it was) doesn't like either. Odering breakfast was a nightmare and the chef didn't have a clue so we had to come up with our own suggestions. There was no spread so dry toast, but 1 plate had dairy butter on it. We were really embarrassed. Where we live, all cafes, pubs offer vegan breakfasts or know what is and isn't vg. The waitresses were brilliant - we felt very sorry for them having to keep dealing with the chefs mistakes. One said, after we'd eaten, that the hash browns weren't vegan! Our hearts stopped but she was mistaken - a fitting end to the breakfast debacle that would've been avoided if the chef knew what is and isn't vegan. If you have dietary needs, allergies, avoid pork, GF etc then there are 3 cafes right near the pub. The room was cold and the radiator didnt work - it's an old building but it would've been good had the room had a heater.

The bed was comfy and the room was spacious. The front of house staff were exceptional.

The room was extremly small, without any wardrobe. The bed was small too and makes noises.

Very friendly and helpful staff and an excellent food. The Bus station in front of the hotel is useful.
