One minor issue was that the sheets didn't seem to have been aired .They were clean and the bed was comfortable, but they had a non aired smell.I am sure it was just an isolated issue as the stay was good.

Good room and great breakfast. Staff were friendly. They were also very attentive when I thought I had lost my mobile which I had infact misplaced.

If I was being really greedy, I would ask from some biscuits to go with the tea/coffee in the rooms. Also, the shampoo dispensers in the bathroom are not great, hardly anything comes out.

I have stayed here many times. The staff are great, The food is really good. There is a lovely ambience to the hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy and the bathrooms are spotless. Highly recommended.

    Nothing to mention.

The Olde Kings Arms is an historic, medieval building dating back to Henry VIII. This means low ceilings and old character beams and lintels. It is even rumoured to host a couple of ghosts. Despite keeping a keen lookout we didn't see any. The accommodation is located above the pub that sells real ale and a good food menu. An excellent breakfast was included in the booking that was first class and the staff are friendly and accommodating. It is located at the heart of the old High Street, full of character, cafe's, antique shops and pubs with a beautiful park nearby. Parking is at a nearby public car park that, unusually was rediculously cheap. This is great place to stay just outside London.. We will be staying here again.

room a little cramped (constrained by building layout) so not much space for storage, but adequate for single night's stay forgot that the main road is one way only, so missed the right turn before the high street for the parking behind the hotel and had to go long way round

clean comfortable room and bed (slept well), generous tea/coffee facilities, nice powerful shower, spacious bathrooom good breakfast, good value for money

My room television had problems which the staff attempted to fix but the system was beyond quick repair. My room was the only one to suffer that, i.e. lack of a lot of free to air channels especially BBC. One day my room was overlooked for refresh/

Bed was comfortable and breakfast was very good, the staff were most accommodating and friendly. Location is good.

During our stay we had early morning engagements outside the hotel, and late evening returns, out of regular meal hours. When expressed beforehand, elsewhere premises help out with some sort of availability, such as thermos coffee, biscuits or sandwiches. The answer at Olde Arms was only a polite but curt denial, which meant skipping several meals.

    Good quality food and cleanliness.

Not quite as clean as I would have liked, sheets and pillows brilliant then spoilt by extra pillows and throw that looked very grubby. Okay for one night but not long stay.

It was in a lovely part of Hemel Hempstead close to all amenities and night life.

The shower was a bit tricky to work. I didn't realise that the rooms were directly over and outside the pub's smoking area. Since we were staying on a Friday and Saturday so we did have some outside noise and the windows we think are single glazed. But we're heavy enough sleepers but might not suit light sleepers.

Beds were very comfortable, we asked for single beds and were given a family room (one double & single) Large towels Lovely staff, we had dinner the first night and breakfast the first morning and the guys who were working were lovely. Very friendly and helpful, I can't remember their names. The food was lovely and had great gluten free options

The check in time offered was later than on the website and my email about this wasn’t answered until after our stay. How to check in could be made clearer. On arrival we went to the bar and the staff member was busy and seemed a bit stressed. It wasn’t a particularly welcoming start to our stay.

The room was a really good configuration for our family of five, with 3 older children. The beds were comfy and it was clean. It was great to have plenty of tea and coffee and a fridge in the room and the breakfast was good. The breakfast staff were polite and friendly.
