Could do with recommending a place to drop luggage - it’s quite a walk from the recommended Bridge car park with luggage.

Centre of the town. Bar and restaurant lovely.

The room window would not open. It was very stuffy, and it was very hot outdoors, so that didn't help

The only negative was that our rooms were not in the main hotel but in a courtyard by the car park, which was across the road. Actually getting across the road at busy times was quite a challenge and would be daunting for those that are no longer young and nimble!

The hotel is beautiful and central in Bakewell, we had dinner on our first night and that was excellent.

It would have been useful to know in advance where the car park was. Two of us parked somewhere else so we could go and ask at the hotel and one of our party found it by luck. However we all got parked so it worked out well in the end. If we hadn't managed to park in the car park I think we may not have enjoyed the visit as much.

The visit was really enjoyable. The hotel is very well situated, the food was excellent, the restaurant was lovely, very spacious, beautifully decorated and the room was very clean and comfortable.

Room very hot as expected in the hot weather but if curtains had been closed it would have been much cooler.

The hotel had run out of tomatoes which could have been rectified very easily by buying from shops nearby and therefore offering what was advertised to those who love tomatoes

Slight niggle - Parking limited. But only had to use pay car park overnight once out of 4 night stay.

Lovely room, very quiet even though on a busy roundabout. Breakfast and service both excellent. Central location to town and other amenities. Reception staff helpful and polite at all times. Visit to Thornbridge Hall is a must !!! New home to the love locks from the bridge in Bakewell 🔒

…. But when they say a small double, they really do mean small.

The property was interesting with a bit of a quirky layout but pleasant. The bedroom had all we needed and was clean. The staff were all pleasant and helpful.

Our room was exceedingly small, possibly one of the worst rooms in the Facility, and despite our request for a change, there were no other rooms available in the double/twin category. Sadly his was just an unlucky availability issue as next door rooms is the same category were much bigger and more attractively decorated. The room was quiet and clean, but the hotel was fully booked due to he Easter holiday. Despite our disappointing room assignment I would recommend the overall Hotel experience highly.

Breakfast was exceptional, friendly and delightful in the breakfast room. Adam was ubiquitous and very helpful. Kudos and thank you Adam! Hanging out in the hotel was comfortable and everything we expected I a positive way. Location was very desirable.

Limited parking - it made you feel it wasn’t worth exploring the countryside for fear of losing your space. Some of the seating in bar & coffee shop uncomfortable & in need re padding. The food menu stays the same every day.

The staff were brilliant ! The food was delicious. Every wall & surface tastefully decorated with all kinds of unusual objects .
