Not much, bar food menu had a lot of deep fry dishes, would have liked more options. Breakfast staff could have been a bit more active and anticipated running out of glasses etc.

The lovely room we were allocated,was well equipped, iron kettle etc, water supplied.Nice decor and bed linen. Fantastic views. Room121 The Spa and pool looked great,but didn't use them only because the weather was so good( we took advantage of the coastal walks).

Some bits let the overall feeling of luxury down. There is one tiny lift for the whole hotel, and it’s noisy (especially if your room is near the lift as ours was - could hear it right up until 2am then started again just before 6am). Service in the bar was very hit and miss - had to go up and order at the bar as the staff ignored us, overall it felt like the staff didn’t want to be there and had no idea what they were doing. The spa is good but no robes or slippers in the lockers (which still take £1 coins!) and the spa could do with a good scrub. It’s a good hotel but absolutely didn’t feel worth what I paid for it.

The location is great - beautiful tree lined street at one side, looks out to a stunning view over the water at the front. The style of the hotel is ‘Grand Dame’ and for the most part the public areas feel lux and welcoming. The spa has a good thermal suite with a range of showers, saunas and steam rooms. Breakfast was fabulous - they won points back for breakfast!

First room given was an interconnecting room and you could hear everything going on next door - however, staff changed this and we loved the new room

Pigeons cooing outside my window. No ability to control temperature in the room. Water pressure lost in the shower. Very expensive for what you get

Everything was great, overall. I found the duvet a bit over-warm (but we were experiencing an unseasonably warm April), but the beds and bed linen were super-comfortable, which definitely compensated.

Such a beautiful location and a hotel with real charm. Spa was perfect for our needs after long days exploring the coastline. Lovely food in the bar and a great ambience everywhere in the hotel.

Room was a bit tired - poor water pressure in shower Large car park over the road - yet not one electric charging point . I phoned hotel in advance & told you didn’t have any but they were unsure of location or power of local charging points

The hotel needs to review its bar and kitchen organizations. Perhaps more staff. In the lounges, it was always a wait for both a server, and then the drink. Similar for breakfast. Worth waiting for, though.

The hotel was stunning, and the sea views from the lounge/dining areas exceptional! My daughters and I stayed in the double double room, which was perfect for a family with lots of space and generous sized beds. We all enjoyed the spa facilities and treatments, with staff contacting us well ahead of time to make sure we were prepared to get the most from our experience. The high street and Seabird Centre were just a 10-minute walk away and the beach just a few minutes. Parking was just across the road from the hotel with plenty of spaces. I would also recommend the Sunday lunch.

Most staff at the bar were slow and not very attentive, lacked knowledge of drinks and just did not seem interested, which was a shame.

Great location, nice room, Spa facilities were good, lovely breakfast. Staff at restaurant for breakfast and reception staff were all very good.

Full breakfast was one of the worst I've had. Tattie scones were like cardboard.

The grounds and interior were fantastic. Rooms were comfortable and roomy. Staff were excellent, especially reception staff and head porter. Restaurant and bar food were ok.

Love the location, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Had one of the best massages I’ve ever had and felt very relaxed during our stay. Good quality breakfast and the dinner was lovely.

I thought £35 a night for my small dog was over priced.

Location was good great to walk out of the back gate and onto the golf course and beach. Food was very good and staff were pleasant and helpful.
