Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):

When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

BelgiumVery little space to put things; the single room would not be suitable for a large suitcase. No ledge in bathroom for toiletries. Had to relog into wifi after a short break, previous login not recognized. Staircase to basement room was difficult to negotiate, but the cooler temperature downstairs (amid a heat wave) was worth the effort.
Staff friendly and helpful; good value for money. Nice shower, comfortable bed. Excellent location, especially for St. Pancras passengers. Equipment for tea or coffee much appreciated (and hair dryer, which I didn't use); very clean linens.

HungaryThe hotel rooms are tiny, especially the bathroom and there were no shelves or cupboards in the bathroom to store our toiletries. The other huge disadvantage was related to the noisy environment. There is a pub right next to the hotel with loud guests who drink alcohol during the night making it really hard to take a proper rest. I highly recommend placing signs in front of the hotel to avoid drunk people sitting next to the hotel windows at ground floor.
The hotel has remarkable location, you can basically reach all national and international railways services or the underground in 5 minutes. The rooms were also clean and the beds were really comfortable.

United Kingdom- The room was always really warm, even with the window open the entire time we were there (no AC options). - Noise travels easily here, so we had some issues with nearby rooms being noisy late at night (which the staff were very helpful in resolving). - The rooms were a little small and dated, but for the price and location this isn't really an issue.
- Great price for such a central location; just a stone's throw from King's Cross. - Really helpful and friendly staff. - The shower facilities in the bedrooms were very good and the beds were comfortable.

AustraliaIt was so incredibly small, and trying to get suitcases up the flight of stairs was incredibly difficult, especially for my two elderly grandparents. There needs a better warning so that people are aware! The rooms are very very close together, so often we were woken up by the people in the other rooms.
The staff were so incredibly lovely and helpful, went out of their way to assist.

CanadaThe WiFi at the hotel was so bad. I have never even considered 'good wifi' when booking a hotel since I feel like in 2022 there is a baseline expectation for decent WiFi, but it was SO bad. I couldn't load apps on my phone, it would not load web pages on my laptop at all so I couldn't use my computer, I couldn't facetime/whatsapp audio call, etc.
The location was good and though the room was small it was a decent place to stay since I was not in the room a lot anyway.

United KingdomI chose the small double...which is a 3/4 double, so pretty small. I wouldn't choose this bed size again, but that's because I'd forgotten how small even a double bed is. Definitely not the hotels fault, as it was accurately described.
Very close to Kings Cross station. Good price for the location. Was able to drop a bag off well before check-in, and leave it for the day after checking out...so very convenient.

United KingdomFor a budget hotel this was a good one. There were a lot of stairs but they warn you about this in the advert so didn't bother me. If you can't do stairs make sure to request a ground floor room!
I have stayed in many many budget hotels in London (substitute for the commute) and this was definitely one of the better ones. Nice clean reception with lovely staff, clean room (smallish but totally fine), great location and everything worked as it should. I would definitely stay again.
