Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews

Mattress was too firm.
Extremely helpful pleasant host. Ideal location. Spotlessly clean and beautiful rooms. He served lovely breakfast and food in his restaurant opposite.

Nothing to do with property, all perfect but sticker shock at restaurants and mini market
Most gracious hosts, 2 way transfer was greatly appreciated. Loved the location, short hike to port Beach and 25 mins to beautiful Livadi Beach.

Not really a great Seaview, and I think the floor area claimed of 18 m² includes both the bathroom and the balcony. The room itself is not that spacious.
Clean and well appointed apartment, three minutes walk to beach, opposite nice restaurant. Friendly and helpful staff.

Demitri the very friendly owner met us at the port and took us to apartment. 5 minute walk to quiet sandy beach. Choice of tavernas nearby. Our room had a good size balcony. Easy access to supermarket for groceries.

Such a great find for my first visit to Iraklia. Even though a short walk from the port, the hosts kindly picked me up from the ferry and dropped me back off. Which was much appreciated. Lovely room with fabulous views. Had everything I needed for a stay. The cafe downstairs was lovely for breakfast. Easy to walk to the beach and lovely restaurants on the door step. Even out if season. Highly recommended.

Nothing - it was just right . The atmosphere and service was great. The family and the staff who cleaned the rooms every day and the friends who came to the cafe were really friendly and helpful .
I was staying “room only” but I had my breakfast in the family cafe downstairs each day -it was delicious…..bacon ,eggs ,yoghurts & all kinds of coffee .The family were really kind and friendly.Dimitrios had picked me up from my ferry at 2.00 in the morning …my room and the location was one of the best I have found in 50 years of Greek travel .Thank you Dimitrios ,Niki ,Angelos and all their other staff . If you stay in Iraklia for 3 days you will feel relaxed ..stay a week or more you can feel like an islander and learn some of the gossip !

Everything , rhe staff were brilliant ,room cleaned daily. Everything about our holidays could 😀 not have been better. On site breakfast restaurant excellent we taken back to port for our ferry,wonderful time had by both of us

Central yet calm (though i was there late in the season, this might be part of the reason). Extremely nice host, very helpful! Very good breakfast available at the cafe downstares. Very reasonable price

We had a lovely warm welcome off the ferry and were driven to Angelo's rooms. Our room was beautifully decorated and exceptionally clean. We particularly loved the balcony which was charming with a fantastic view of everything worth seeing. The locals are all incredibly friendly and we really felt part of the Iraklian community.

Decent, value for money choice. Room was clean, beds were comfy. it's located at the heart of the village, really close to restaurants and 7' walking distance to the port. During our stay (mid September) it was pretty quiet and chilled, nevertheless i don't think it's any different during high season (July -August).

Shower was small, the curtain always getting in the middle while showering, no hook to hang the shower. My balcony was not private but the entrance to other room

Iraklia is very beautiful and peaceful. The studio rooms are located in the port town (well it's small so really a village) a short way from the beach and has a cafe/bar which is great for breakfast and an evening drink. There are several tavernas close by. Livadi beach, which is beautiful is in walking distance. The room was well appointed and clean.
