Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

PortugalExcelent localization, the rooms were clean and cleaned everyday! Everything was good, and the check in process was smooth as well. They let us leave our bags in the hotel in the last day because our flight was only at night.

United StatesThe shower door did not close fully allowing the water to get out. It is such a mess and a lot of clean up after each shower. The location is not the best, shady. A lot of trash on the sidewalks and the people on the street leading to the place are questionable. I don't feel safe at night walking in the area.
The place is clean and very pleasant.

Breakfast was average and it took too long to refill.
Rooms, location. Vicinity to metro and in fact within walking distance to city centre and all important historic venues.

IcelandThe room does not have blackout curtains and even when the blinds are down by the bathtub, it does not completely block it so the people on the other side if they would like could kind of peek at you in the bath. The bed has a spring mattress which you can kind of feel and you can hear it squeak, it did not affect my sleeping or anything but I fell ill so I probably stayed in bed more than most who visit. There are a few homeless people who live on the side street and you will see them on the way to the metro, they did not bother me and were no nuisance and not the hotel's fault but it's hard to see. The room is fairly well soundproof but I did hear the snoring from the next room but never any conversation so I think it was just an extremely loud snorer, again not the hotel's fault. The door is not very soundproof so you do hear when people walk past or go into the elevator, from early in the morning you will hear a lot going on. The phones did not work and the wifi was a bit slow and spotty. My room was next to the pipes so every time someone flushed the toilet there was a sound which was kind of loud but could sleep through. None of the things I have mentioned were something that would deter me from going back and the value for money is absolutely amazing. I'm just mentioning them if this is a deal-breaker for someone.
The location is very good, it's a short walk to the metro and the archeological museum, both under 10 minutes. It had a huge jet bathtub which was extremely nice, good shower and a separate toilet. Everything is as the picture shows. I liked that the fridge was really cold for my drinks and there was a big bedside table with a socket right by the bed. I fell ill during my stay but the cleaning lady was so nice and checked if I was okay, very thoughtful. The roof has a pool and a small area to lay down and relax and the courtyard is like an oasis in the middle of athens, even though it is small, it has a pool as well. The room is big and the windows were easy to open and having them open during the night was good, no noise, only birdsong. The pillows were a bit soft so I did wake up the first night with a sore neck but the towels were so soft and the linens as well. I will probably go back there when visiting athens again.

GreeceThe internet connection was a bit unstable, but overall acceptable The area where the hotel is placed is a bit unsafe, because Omonoia in general is a bit downgraded, but if you are careful you will be fine
The staff were very friendly and accommodative The hotel is very close to Omonia station from where you can take the Metro or ΗΣΑΠ and by using these public transport methods you can go to different places in Athens, like Acropolis Museum or Syntagma Square, etc. or even to Piraeus port Very clean and comfortable rooms

United KingdomWhen I arrived, there were no toiletries, although they were replaced the next morning. Additionally the walls and ceilings are very thin, and I was on the first floor above the dining room, so was woken very early by breakfast prep. İt's a good place, value for money-wise but I wasn't very well rested as a result of the noise in the early morning.
The location is great, really near cool places in Exarchia, 15 minutes away from other cool places in Psyrri and Monastiraki. Great breakfast, welcoming and helpful staff, comfortable bed.

United StatesThe bathroom was connected into the main room with no door, which was mostly fine since there was a door to the toilet. The downside was that there was no shower door or shower curtain, so it’s awkward when traveling with friends. Highly recommend adding a curtain or a door.
The breakfast was wonderful and the staff was incredibly helpful. Lots of space for four people.
