We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelThat the heating system did not work and that they did not provide a solution on their own initiative until after our request. We were in a period when it was still cold. And the jacuzi didn't work
very nice Hotel with pools. Unfortunately the heating didn't work the first night and we were really cold. Upon contacting reception, blankets were offered. Only after the next day we spoke to another guest was it reported that there were heat spreaders. The next day they brought a radiator that did not work and only after another turn they brought a heat spreader that already provided a solution. Apart from the above the hotel is excellent, spacious, clean and lots of food options. Unfortunately the hot tub didn't work!!!!

GreeceThere was a noise every morning and night in the room and I believe this is unacceptable for this hotels and the price we paid. I complained about this noise but it made no difference, the noise was there every day, probably coming from the restaurants.
Pools were excellent , breakfast and restaurants very good. The room also very good. Overall we were satisfied with facilities

United KingdomConsidering it was a 5 Star, room facilities could have been better e.g. there was no iron so we had to wear creased clothes. Also tea and coffee making facilities were basic. I have stayed in many 4 star hotels with iron and ironing board in the rooms. There was also NO thermostatic control on the showers; this is a basic requirement in the UK and something you would expect from a 5 star resort. There was no universal point in the bathroom making it impossible to charge a shaver or electric toothbrush if a visitor from abroad. Gym and indoor pool facilities cannot be accessed before 10am which is frustrating for people to swim or work out before breakfast. Certain guests were given free reign to break hotel rules, especially in the gym, when some guests would turn up anytime they wanted to the Gym when other guests had booked, hogging some of the gym equipment e.g. treadmill, without a thought for those who had actually booked their one hour session. The sauna was not working although advertised on the list of hotel amenities. There were some ground floor rooms where sun-beds in front of those rooms ( 15 feet in front but around the pool) were regarded as belonging to the guests in those rooms so everyone with rooms on upper floors had to compete for the other sun beds which was difficult if you did not get there early. .Several times my daughter was asked to move after sitting on a sun-bed deemed to belong to certain guests in a certain room, either by the guests themselves ( often rude) or by the pool attendant. Many a time these sun-beds would remain empty all day but still no one else was allowed to use them. A ridiculous rule which shows favouritism to certain guests who were fortunate to be assigned ground floor rooms looking out onto the pools. We all paid pretty much the same for pool view rooms, whether ground floor or upper floors!
nice location, very clean, friendly staff

United KingdomLa Marquise is unashamedly profit driven. I have no issue with this when service comes first, but at this hotel service is often bottom of the barrel to save costs. There is an unpleasant focus on trying to extract money from guests for every little thing, despite guests having paid thousands up front to stay. For example, no bottled water is provided after day 1. They expect you to pay €4 per LITRE for standard bottled water at all times. In the shops it is 10x cheaper. Complete rip off. We ended up bringing our own water to dinner, despite staff frowning upon this. When we complained to reception about the fact that half board includes no basics like water, they just kept saying that this was policy. How can half board in a luxury hotel include no water when the tap water isn’t safe to drink? Reception eventually agreed to provide one litre to us for free per day. When I booked, I was under the impression that there were several restaurants that were all included in the half board. It turns out nothing but the main restaurant is included. Dinner in the main restaurant is always a buffet every day with bulk-cooked food. If you want to eat in one of the themed restaurants, and sacrifice the dinner included with your half board to do this, you only get a 20% discount. Breakfast was also uninspiring. It was identical every day and the fruit was terrible - all either past its best or rock hard. The hotel charge a huge amount for drinks at the bar, which then come out in small paper cups. We asked the hotel to book us a taxi to take us to the airport. The hotel refused to do this and said the only option was their service for 42€ (the journey is just over 20 minutes). We then went to the taxi rank outside and booked it for 33€. The hotel said that price was “impossible”. There is a photographer who takes photos of the guests on Fridays. He told us it was free but then it turned out it was 9€ for a basic A5 photo.
Pretty grounds and nice big room. Elegant and interesting interior design. Friendly housekeeping staff (especially Jen and Angel), and the lady who made the omelet at breakfast was nice. There was a misunderstanding with reception at check-out but the lady apologised profusely and gave us free drinks, which we appreciated and led us to increase the rating we were planning to give by an extra point. Relatively well positioned to get bus/taxi to Rhodes Old Town and Lindos. Nice beach set up. Not too loud. Supermarket outside for essentials.

United KingdomWe absolutely loved it here. The breakfast was amazing. French toast, about 5 types of eggs, cooked breakfast items, oats, cereals, fruits, hams, cheeses, breads, freshly made omelette to order, pancakes, waffles, you'll always find something. The room was always very clean, the staff very helpful, and the service was brilliant. I would highly recommend staying here, and when I go to Rhodes again, I will always stay here.

United Kingdom1) Asked reception to move us from our accommodation that was far to main building as my husband has two hip replacements - were waiting for 3 days unpacked to be moved. Reception said we had to mention that upon booking, meaning : 'It's your problem'. We called for a cart every time going out of the room - few times reception 'forgot' to send cart so my husband went upstairs to give them another call, and no any apologies at the reception; 2) Shower was leaking to the floor, toilet was out of order, had to arrange fixing and remind reception, insects under sink that never been cleaned during day cleaning; 3) ALL INCLUSIVE - for every little bottle of drinking water you have to go to restaurant/bar, waiter, then administrator asks your room number and after proper check they give you the bottle; 4) ALL INCLUSIVE - only house wines included, very poor, red wine has brownish color and very poor quality
Good pictures on website

IsraelStayed for 4 nights from 10.6.23-14.6.23 At our first night the air conditioner was barely working - the set point was for the lowest but the temperature remained 22-23 degrees . In the morning after sweaty night in the shower we found a bug (see attached image from the hotels bathroom). therefore around 9 in the morning of the same day we approached the reception to report those two issues and show a picture of the bug. The receptionist took a note and said she will take care of the issues. Around 17:00 we were back to the room finding out the air conditioning is still not cooling the room- we returned to reception finding out nothing was done to fix the issues. they said they will send a technician for the air conditioning and house keeping to spray against the bugs. I said I don’t want to stay in the room after the bug treatment- the receptionist insisted it will be no harm for my health. I insisted not to stay in room they said there are no other rooms to transfer us. I kept urging and felt really uncomfortable with his response- there wasn’t any responsibility taken from the hotel for not handling our issues. Finally he gave up and found another room for us- but the whole experience left us very uncomfortable and disappointed. more points to consider: - many of the pool sites reserved to specific rooms (so we were asked to move chairs few times) - the gym is open only at 10 in the morning - the vegetables on breakfast are not fresh - sun shading are too small for 2 people This was our second stay there after having a good experience around 8 mounts ago - but now we are sure we will not book this hotel again

RussiaWe tool all inclusive what contained a lot of things inside but two minor comments - still many things in the menu is for extra pay, just one type of beer and one type of white\red wine. As for cocktails - they do mainly what they can offer in the menu and the menu doesn't contain a lot of popular cocktails. And stuff rejected to do the cocktails based on your request - only what you find in the menu. Menu still good and has a lot cocktails but after week you already tired as you tried it all.
All was superb. Great rooms, very nice food. Too much food. We took adult zone without kids and it was definitely the right decision. Pool was big and great however during our time staying water was cold so we used pool not so often. cocktails in the bar were really nice. take all inclusive just because of cocktails - wont regret it.

United StatesI wish there was different level other than the black card for villa holders once you paid for premium and the top dollar everything should be included because think about it if everyone has the same thing nobody is really special.
Here is a complete list of everything I liked. The check in staff very warm very personal looked for my request and made my wife birthday amazing. The shuttle of transportation always available. The warmest staff you can ever meet all so caring and loving. The cleaning staff cleans daily and never skips corner. The restaurant options all different and all very delicious. The look of the pictures do meet and exceed the expectations upon arrival.
