Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandFrom the outside, the building looks tired and needs a lick of paint. This doesn't do the inside justice.
Lovely room with an amazing view from the balcony. The jacuzzi was an extra surprise! There's a fab pub across the road, with lovely food. We loved the room so much, we've already booked a return visit! Samantha was lovely to deal with.

IrelandIt’s a shame the venue didn’t serve breakfast or any food but bar was open from 3pm on Saturday serving drinks. While the room was spacious and lovely bathroom etc, the mattress was extremely uncomfortable and had sent better days. Springs were gone and impossible to get comfortable which affected our sleep. Shame as that was the only thing we didn’t enjoy.
Location was fantastic- short walk to harbour and restaurants etc. Really lovely helpful staff especially Samantha who was so helpful helping organize our dinner reservation and transport to the venue prior to our visit. Plus the gentleman who checked us in was really friendly. Room with balcony was great to chill out and take in the view of harbour. Decent car parking facilities and no issue with getting parking spaces.

IrelandThe only fault with this hotel is its loss of potential due to the restaurant being closed down as it would be 10/10 if the restaurant and bar were still open however it’s so close to other restaurants and pubs and you can get a free shuttle bus to Mary Barry’s a brillant restaurant in the next town over
Hotel is in an ideal location and so close to the beach. The studio flats were lovely and had all the amenities needed

IrelandReally quite pleased overall, but would note for general awareness that if anyone has a mobility issue the upstairs apartment complex accommodation may not be most suitable; I didn't see any stairlift aids available but they may have them elsewhere in the main premises. Some of the furniture was rickety, e.g. table/ chairs in the kitchen area, but the other couches and armchair were comfortable. Accessing the TV controls to change the language was a very minor gripe for us, but we didn't ask for assistance to correct it so I'm sure this could be fixed quickly otherwise. Some extra cleaning items for the kitchen eg scrubbers/ dish brush would have been very helpful, and we were unable to locate the folder with local info which was indicated would be there - again, these were just minor things but would have helped make things a little easier.
The location and parking were excellent! Loads of nice food places nearby, plus great walks and playground, and you really couldn't get much closer to the beach if you tried. Accommodation met our needs, and the staff were very helpful and friendly - . our 2 bed self-catering apartment was located up a flight of stairs and looked out towards the pier, and ocean, so even when we were inside we could still enjoy the views. Beds were comfy and the showers were good and strong! Once we got the knack for heating the water, we were set. Overall the grounds were very quiet and peaceful at night.

IrelandIt would be great if breakfast was provided onsite
Great location in a beautiful part of the sunny south east. Room was bright and spacious. Property externally starting to look a little run down. Nothing that a coat of paint wouldn’t rectify. Has the potential to be spectacular given the location and the design of the property.
