Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

UkraineStaff was not available at night (11:30pm) (didn’t respond either in Booking app or via phone) when internet connection didn’t work. For us it was critical because we needed to plan next day trip outside Venice.
Interior, location, true vintage key, hot water, electric kettle.

United StatesIt would have been nice to have real mugs and instant coffee for the morning.
The room was small but well appointed. Quiet location when the windows and shutters are closed. There is a kettle with paper cups and tea bags. The location is across the piazza from the reception down a small walkway. You use three keys to get into the building, the floor and then the room. Breakfast is not included but there is a nice restaurant on the piazza.

The location was perfect, close to Rialto bridge. The room was well equipped - venetian furniture and decoration, large and comfort bed.

LithuaniaFor us bed were quite hard, but maybe for someone it is Ok. No elevator. For us it wasn't a problem, but be aware of it.
Convenient location, however there are lots of crowds from/to Rialto bridge. Nice and helpful staff. Clean room. Cattle in the room with coffee ant tea.

IcelandThe Wifi was basically not available . Only sometimes at a certain angle or location within the room. Also, due to the density of the buildings, 4G or 5G wasn't available either. So basically, no Internet, which was annoying. Generally very quiet, although the neighbours from the building across are so close to the hotel that it feels like they party in your apartment. Also, there was a very tiny shower that is barely suitable for fit people. The bed was quite hard.
Location is just excellent. Next to restaurants and shops ,10 min away from St. Marks square. Room was clean and just alright.

IrelandPower of hairdryer was very weak. Noisy at night however this is unsurprising due to central location.
Great location, very clean, helpful staff, shower pressure and temperature was perfect. Supermarket is 1 min walk away. Multiple restaurants, bakery etc right outside the door. Receptionist was very helpful when helping to organise transport to airport in the middle of the night.

KazakhstanThe windows overlook a very crowded place that does not sleep until late at night; that is not so comfortable for older people )).
The location is good, but not ideal for a family, as the windows overlook a very crowded place that does not sleep until late at night. Otherwise, everything is great: comfortable beds, enough space inside the rooms, warm and clean.

United KingdomWe had the “superior“ room. There wasn’t much superior about it. No curtains on four poster bed as advertised. Paper cups (I travel a lot and not even cheap hostels offer paper cups!) Instant coffee, no milk or creamer. No fridge. Hairdryer is something out of 70s - looked like a penne pasta tube. Took ages to dry my short thick hair. Our room wasn’t in the same building as the reception, but in the nearby building. Felt more like when you get the apartment but not the convince of fridge and facilities.
Great location, clean, perfect for short stay. Friendly staff for check in and check out.

United StatesThe hair dryer was weird. I was glad I had brought my own international hair dryer and plug adapters. Remember that in much of Europe, face cloths are not provided. If you use one, bring your own.
We had a large, corner, en-suite room overlooking the square. With the windows open you could hear the energetic street sounds from the shops and cafes below, but with the windows closed, most of the noise was blocked. We were surprised how sound-proofed it became. The room had air conditioning, so we used that at night. If you're sensitive to noise, bring a sound machine. The location was great. There are shops and cafes all along the paths, and it is just a 5-minute walk to the Ca'd'Oro Vaporetto stop and about a 6-minute walk to the Rialto Bridge. The train was a quick 10-min Vaporetto trip from Ca'd'Oro. Really, this was a most convenient place. Everything is easy walking distance -- which is part of the charm of Venice! We stayed 3 nights.
