Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Brazil- In general, all good, the only minor point is that I needed a restroom in an emergency after checkout and there was no one available. From a client perspective, a room could be opened for me (or any other client ina similar situation) to use.
- Location: beautiful place to walk around. Very holy. - Breakfast - Cleanness of the room and bathroom

AustraliaWe had a lovely stay at your residence city suites. It was the perfect location for our family, as it was opposite to a lovely park and only a 15 minute walk into the main attractions. We enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle of the main areas. There is a tram stop directly outside the residence that took us to the Vatican in one direction and the Colosseum in the other direction. Thank you to the helpful and attentive staff at Aldrovandi. We will definitely visit again!

AustriaIf you need a quiet room, make sure that you get one that facing inner yard. Rooms that face the street are quite noisy because of the tram line.
The staff was quite helpful and responsive to all requests. The room was big and clean.

NorwayA bit outdated interior, the hot section of the breakfast was sometimes cold. It's a bit of a walk to the city centre, however we had a lot of great walks throug the park that's close.
The rooms were big and spacious. It was clean and the staff was pleasant. They had a lot to choose from in the breakfast, both to eat and to drink.

United StatesBreakfast became a little boring. I also have stayed in their Hotel Aldrovandi pre-COVID and it was excellent. They had an incredible breakfast which I have yet to find anywhere. Also, the hotel had many shared spaces and a restaurant with a bar. ( Hotel under construction) . We were a family of 6, with 3 children and 3 adults , the kitchen’s in the rooms were a plus for a 2 week stay.
The Aldrovandi rooms are spacious, location next to the park excellent. Having the pool in Rome after a hot day touring was great! I do appreciate having ice cream , wine, snacks and food at the pool bar! The children loved it!

United KingdomIt would have been nice to have a lounge to sit for a late night beaverage, as the pool bar closed at 6.30pm.
The size of the room was excellent, very comfortable. Although breakfast was supplied, we still thought having cooking facilties was a real bonus. We ate in a few nights as it was raining.

United KingdomThe trams do run from early in the morning until late at night and as our room faced the main street we were aware of them thundering past. This didn't bother us as we live near an airport and are used to some noise.
The Aldovandi Suites are situated a 20 minute walk through the Villa Borghese Park to the city gates or a 15 minute walk from Flaminio Metro Station. Buses and trams pass directly past the hotel but, not directly into the city centre. Taxis appear to be plentiful. Our room was located on the ground floor facing the main street. The room was large and spacious, it had a kitchenette and was well equipped with enough cutlery, crockery and utensils for our stay. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The bathroom was modern, bath with overhead shower. The room was cleaned and towels were changed everyday. The pool area is quite large with plenty of sunbeds. The pool bar serves snacks but, we didn't sample these. The breakfast offered an excellent selection of pastries, fruit, juices, continental meats and cheeses, tea and coffee. There are also a limited selection of hot food options available The staff we met were courteous and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

EstoniaThey had lost our key room upon our arrival. Parking a car nearby can be a real challenge. The bathroom needs renovation and the water pressure is quite low for a nice shower.
What best to stay by the pool in the middle of Rome when the temperature is so high that it discourages you from visiting the Coliseum? The room was fine, the breakfast excellent, the pool very welcoming with a nice bar by its side. It was a nice way to stay in Rome with scorching temperature and not to have to hide in a room with AC all day...

United StatesThe property is a little old in its decor, but aside from that, I have nothing bad to say. We loved our stay here.
This is a great choice for a visit to Rome. The rooms were very big; my kids were so excited that they had their own room and (twin) beds. It's like an apartment so you have a kitchen, which is nice for a longer stay, and there is a separate entrance so you can enter through the hotel lobby or through your own private door. Our suite had a cute little patio that you could exit to get to the pool. The pool was amazing; after a hot day of touring around Rome, it was wonderful to be able to cool off in the pool before dinner. The breakfast was standard hotel breakfast fare but was plenty of food. The staff were nice and helpful. The hotel is about a 20 minute walk to the gates of Rome, but it is through a beautiful park, which made the walk a little easier as one of the few places in Rome with trees and some shade. It's also right next to the zoo and the modern art museum so there are activities nearby as well if you don't feel like walking as much one day. When we were there, there was a pop up bar with a DJ that operated in the park across the street from the art museum, which was a fun addition for a quick drink before heading back to the hotel.
