Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwedenWe had an absolutely wonderful stay at this hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel incredibly welcome. The service was exceptional throughout our entire stay— we want to express a extra thank you to Deborah who went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. The hotel also had a fantastic breakfast, with a wide variety of delicious options to choose from. We were always impressed by the freshness and quality of the food, and it was the perfect way to start our day. Overall, we couldn’t be more pleased with our stay. Everything exceeded our expectations, and we’ll definitely be returning next time we’re in town. Highly recommend!

United KingdomHot water in the room was flowing really slowly. Took a long time for the tub to be filled up. Staff said could not be fixed.
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Shuttle bus was excellent. Close to town and restaurant. Spa was nice. Breakfast was good too.

United KingdomBreakfast was ok. a A wide variety available but the ‘hot’ savoury food in the buffet was always cold, as was the coffee. Freshly cooked eggs and bacon available but if you wanted anything other than bacon, such as mushrooms, they applied an additional charge of 8 euro which seems a little petty! One of our ‘superior’ rooms was dark, basic and pokey but we were happy with our other rooms. The reception area is a little underwhelming when you arrive but the rest of communal areas are very nice.
Great location just off the high street and a very short walk to the main chair lift. Deluxe rooms were spacious and comfortable with powerful spacious showers, comfy beds and good linens. Housekeeping excellent and most staff very friendly. Sweet bar area and charming breakfast room.

RomaniaThe breakfast was excellent, with products typical of the area, of very good quality. The room was very clean, and the bed linens were perfect. The hotel itself is very pleasant, furnished in classic mountain style. The spa area is very well arranged and equipped with everything you need for a true wellness experience.

United KingdomNothing really, the price was a little on the high side but the offering is very good and I can understand that it's an expensive place to operate a hotel at this standard. The spa receptionist was not at her best on the first (and only) day I visited, clearly having one of those off days which we all can have, a bit flustered and a little rude.
Breakfast was very good, service was polite and efficient, food quality was high, excellent choice. Spa was good for after a day on the slopes although I tended to use the jacuzzi bath in my room for convenience. All the hotel staff were professional and helpful from front of house, bar, breakfast and cleaners.

United KingdomWe booked a few days in Cervinia mid December to take advantage of the excellent skiing, due to lots of snow. We spent four nights at the Hotel Bucaneve on a bed and breakfast basis. Unfortunately, on arrival to Italy the airline lost our luggage, which was not returned to us until the night before we were due to fly home. Thankfully, the staff at Hotel Bucaneve could not have been kinder to us and more helpful, particularly Sabrina and Renato. The room we stayed in was clean and spacious with a very comfortable bed and we had a lovely view looking up at the ski slopes. Breakfast was plentiful with a good choice and very good coffee first thing in the morning. We used the spa every day of our stay, which was really relaxing with a good sized pool and jacuzzi. There were also different showers, as well as a couple of saunas and a big steam room. There were lots of loungers to relax on and read a book and the waterbed was so comfortable you had to be careful not to fall asleep on it. We didn’t eat at the hotel, as we tried the many good restaurants in town, which the hotel was only a few minutes walk away from. We did enjoy a drink every evening in the very cosy bar, with its lovely fire and comfortable armchairs. The bar was never busy and when we came back to the hotel after an evening out, Renato was always there to get us a drink (he makes the best Aperol Spritz in town!). Despite our lost luggage we did manage to get out to do some skiing, the hotel has a spacious boot room and is a very convenient few minutes walk away to the nearest chairlift. Despite not having the best start to our holiday, we really enjoyed our stay in Cervinia thanks to the Hotel Bucaneve and its staff. We will definitely return to Cervinia to stay again at the Hotel Bucaneve, just hopefully with more clothes this time.

MaltaNothing. (Maybe the apertures do not seal sound, yet they are traditionally beautiful.
It had a small private parking yet the staff was very helpful in placing all cars and keeping the car key. Beautiful hotel that keeps traditional character in a modern way.

Netherlands- Wi-Fi didn’t work in our room. - there is no free water/tea in the room. This is strange for the hotel of such level. - If you want to add additional ingredients (e.g. cheese) to your breakfast omelette, you need to pay. Seems cheap for a 4-star hotel - No board games (only cards).
Pros: - Spa was absolutely great: swimming pool, jacuzzi, 3 saunas, and cosy corners to chill. They also serve free tea and fruits and. - Breakfast had not that many options, but still more than enough and quality of the food was very good. - Room was cosy with a good view on Matterhorn We’ve been here almost in the end of the ski season - end of April. Hotel was almost empty and we liked the experience a lot. Compliments to staff (especially Renato) who made our experience awesome.

United KingdomI couldn't find any fault
Hotel Bucaneve is one of the best hotels I have stayed in. The staff were all very friendly, smartly dressed, polite and extremely helpful. The room was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The Spa and suanas were excellent, as was the massage. The food was outstanding, be that for breakfast or for dinner. The Dinner menu was amazing as was the wine list. The central location of the hotel meant only a 2 minute walk to the lifts, or a free hotel shuttle to other lifts, an outstanding service. I can't recommend this hotel highly enough. I will definitely be returning. A BIG thank you to all the staff.

NetherlandsLobby super stale. Furniture from your grandparents. Not attractive to spend time after skiing / before dinner. This would be a reason for us to not book again. Breakfast quite basic for a four star property. Dry cakes. No salads. Anything except basic eggs (eg tomatoes in your omelette) costs extra.
Nice Spa Good location walking distance from ski lifts Comfortable room Staff was very friendly - especially Renato at the front desk.

SwitzerlandThe guy from the reception did not look professional at all and we saw him serve himself at the breakfast buffet which is not aomething customers should see. The facilities are pretty old. In the spa, other customers were not very quiet. There should be more indications asking people to keep quiet in the spa facilities.
The view over the moutains is stunning. The breakfast is amazing.
