Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesIt seemed only one building had an elevator and my 82-year old mother was with us. It was a bit of a hassle going up and down to our rooms.
We liked the location and breakfast.

CyprusThe location, the room, the employees, all were perfect. We were even surprised by the breakfast, as we did not expect much given the size of the hotel, but we were positively taken aback, it has all options one may need. I truly recommend staying here!

PortugalSome fix-ups in the hotel are a bit sloppy, such as the stairs, which is a shame for a place with otherwise so much character. Some furniture in the room is not really functional, there was a closet which we were scared to open as it looked like it might fall apart. The lounge seemed a bit forgotten and needs more decoration, but nothing that affected our stay.
The location is perfect, the room is very cosy and clean, with renovated bathroom. Breakfast at the adjacent hotel was really good. They had our room ready prior to the check in time, which was amazing. Great value for money.

United StatesNothing except leaving
I had stayed at both the Palazzo Priuli and the Casa Nicolò Priuli three times in the past but hadn't been there for 6 years. When I arrived at the conveniently centralized reception desk for both the Palazzo and Casa, the staff greeted me like an old friend and were clearly excited to tell me about the "surprise" they had for me. Though I'd booked an economy room, they had assigned me the same beautiful top-level room I'd stayed in both times at the Casa and have always remembered as one of my favorite rooms of all time. What was touching was that they seemed as happy as I was about the change. The room proved as wonderful, and the staff as warm and helpful, as I remembered. The main hotel is stunning -- an exceptional experience staying there -- but I particularly love staying at the Casa, a small, beautifully restored ancient house, right on the small canal where 2 gondolas "park" overnight, and just a few steps from the Palazzo. It has a personal warmth that gives a real sense of coming back home after a long tiring day navigating Venice. It's also quiet; I wasn't aware of anyone else while I was there. As you'd expect with an old house, there is no elevator, but the reception staff is ready to help with your luggage. Just be aware that you'll have to get yourself up and down narrow but well-carpeted stairways when going in and out. As to location: the Priuli is right at the juncture of San Marco and Castello, perfect for exploring both. Try to give some time to Castello which runs from St. Mark's to the very end of the island and ends in a large beautiful park. You can walk the entire length of Castello along the water or through its fascinating neighborhoods. The Priuli's vaporetto stop -- San Zaccaria -- is also the best for going anywhere you wish to go. Besides being the main stop for St. Mark's, it's a main stop for almost every ferry line in the city.

IrelandTrade off for a room looking over the canal was the noise from the boats … it gets quite busy. Bed and pillows could have been softer … but that’s just my preference. I found it a little out of the way.
Loved the view from the room which was spacious. Bathroom was nice. Liked the mini fridge and the kettle. Good selection of towels.

The location is ideal, the hotel room was warm and clean. The breakfast was hearty and with a really good selection. The restaurant and hotel staff were nice and helpful. The only thing you should pay attention to is that you will have to pay extra for cleaning the rooms☝️ (but this is probably common in Venetian hotels😊) Thanks for a nice weekend in Venice!

United KingdomThe breakfeast coud be better, I mean, the hotel can include more options and most salty food as well. The breakfest time could be extended until 11 o'clock on the weekends. The rest the hotel is fantastic.
The localization is brillant to walk around the city and enjoy the place. Also there are some restaurants in the front that attend for dinner so well. Also you can find some attactions nearby. I recommend this place a lot.
