Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe view from the room/balcony was onto another building of the back of the hotel. Room we were in was tighter than the ones shown in pictures.
We requested an additional chair for the room. The staff assured us they would deliver one. Several hours later, the chair was delivered.

United KingdomSmall room, sparsely furnished at the end of a dark corridor. Tiny lift. Did not think the value was there for the price. The good restaurant was pricey.
Great location across the road from pompeii ruins. Long walk from station grab a taxi - just down the hill or take the bus. Clean room. Attached to popular and good restaurant. Friendly breakfast staff and a reasonably good breakfast.

United KingdomThe hotel is currently undergoing some (local authority-mandated) repair/redecoration work on its facade, so our view of the Pompei site was almost totally obscured by scaffolding and construction screens. Not the hotel's fault, of course, but a little disappointing. Breakfast, in a cafeteria on the top (4th) floor is adequate but a bit restricted in fruit options. The hotel's restaurant service is provided by an independently run restaurant on the ground floor accessed from the lobby area. Its menu is a little unexciting and somewhat overpriced. Much better options available at some of the restaurants in the streets around the main square.
Great location on the Via Plinio that runs along the south side of the archaeological site - about 15 minutes walk from the main Porta Marina entrance and less than 5 minutes from the entrance/exit at the eastern end near the amphitheatre. We had a large and comfortable superior suite room facing the street and looking out across to the site (but see below) and decorated with reproduction frescos from Pompei. Very easy walk to the main square (where the cathedral is) and where there are multiple restaurant choices in the nearby streets. Reasonably large and private, closed-gate parking area to the rear of the hotel.

United KingdomSee above.
Ok, the hotel was nice, the staff were nice, the evening meal was nice, but for the love of god can someone tell Europeans how to make proper sausage/bacon/egg type breakfasts, powdered eggs!!!!!! Bacon which was so well done it clumped together to replicate the mass of a black hole, HOTDOG SAUSAGES are for hotdogs. However the rest was yummy. The pastries and such, the meats and cheeses and so on.

United KingdomWe went out for the day and on our return we had an army of ants that had got into our room through a gap in the plaster next to to the window and had made a long line around the room wall to a bin we had left a packek of crisp in!! I went to reception, showed them the bag, and said we had cleaned up and killed the ants, i didnt get and apology but did get a can of ant killer 😅 The room was cleaned very well the next day so that we was grareful for.
The sole is in a perfect location, the entrance to the Ruins is right across the street, to meet with tour kinds was just a short walk about 15minutes. Our twin room was smaller than expected, basic. But had what we needed, Staff were polite.

United StatesConstruction going on. Room was small and dated. We had a balcony which was nice but only 1 chair to sit on. Breakfast was decent and the restaurant manager was very pleasant and accommodating.
Near the ruins and restaurants which was why we were here.

United KingdomThis is going to sound really picky and I should have mentioned it when we were there but, the floors were not swept daily, the shower door seal was broken and the tray for the kettle did not have a plug close enough to use it safely.
The hotel was excellently situated for the site of Pompeii but it is also close to both train stations which makes getting out and about really easy. The breakfast was amazing and always freshly prepared. The staff were only too happy to help with any request you had.

United KingdomThe staff are wonderfully friendly and our bedroom was beautifully clean and comfortable as were the communal areas. Breakfast every morning had a great choice and some beautifully baked cakes, again we were welcomed by lovely staff. It was a little disappointing that our balcony had no chairs to sit on and was quite grubby due to scaffolding work being put up all over the hotel which we weren’t told about beforehand, as we chose a room with a balcony because we like to sit out of an evening it was a shame, also we were promised views of the ancient ruins and Vesuvius whereas we had views of scaffolding and trees, although you couldn’t get much closer to the ancient ruins. That being said I would definitely recommend this hotel or location, staff friendliness, cleanliness and location.

AustraliaStaff completely inflexible with check in/check out times, necessitating leaving our luggage unsecured while we did an early tour. Luggage had to be left in publicly visible and accessible area in busy lounge area with no checks over who took what. Breakfast was very basic, scrambled eggs revolting/rubbery Able to order a barista coffee which was a saving grace.
Centrally located for visiting the world heritage site, easily walkable. Comfortable bed and good water pressure for shower. Spotlessly clean.
