The hotel was too far from the main part of Syracuse of interest (Ortigia)

The walk into town is a bit of a schlep (coming from people who do enjoy walking). Beach area was closed and we felt slightly mis sold on that. Breakfast was average. Bad coffee (in Sicily!). Not enough staff at breakfast or pool.

Pool area is fab and spacious. Whole hotel is very spacious and peaceful. Good bed. Impressive grounds.

Overall very good, just some details that could be improved - the coffee at breakfast was undrinkable, and it would have been good to have more regular staff doing the rounds by the pool for drinks, but otherwise very good!

We stayed over Easter weekend and what was disappointing was no restaurants near the hotel were open. We had to eat at the hotel restaurant. This was not good value for money and the food was average. The air-con was noisy in our room.

This is a lovely hotel that is located near many key location stops. Parking is on site and free. The rooms are nice with a mix of modern and old furniture. The bed are comfortable and the bathrooms are clean. This a busy hotel with groups that also stay here. The breakfast was nice and had a variety of options. The pool is great, clean and refreshing with lots of deck chairs to lay around the pool

Poor breakfast, maintenance not done properly and on time. Historical impressive hotel, but not that well maintained. We had a bug in the room, but I guess it's normal for such an old hotel?

The bathroom could have a little more space for the shower even if that will be against the sink. Breakfast was kinda poor for the <level> of the Hotel. The quality thow was very good

A very <classy> 19th century villa is transformed to a classy-modern Hotel. Very nice environment, spacy single room. Car parking space enough into the property. CLose to the Archeological site and the <Theatro Greco>

The receptionist - Antonella was very welcoming. The breakfast was great as was the guest room. The hotel is very central and only 10 minute walk to Ortigia. The hotel also has great parking facilities.

There was no restaurant available except for breakfast; however, I was notified about that after the hotel booking was confirmed!! There are no coffee and drink facilities after 10:00 a.m., the end of the breakfast period—very disappointing. No water heater"kettle", or even a small coffee machine in the room!

Poor quality of the breakfast. Far from Ortigia. Not much to do around.

The room needed a bit more maintenance as some parts of the ceiling were cracked. The breakfast was poor for a 4 star - food quality was low with few options. The bar was not open although the hotel had fliers all over the place informing about the bar’s happy hour. I think the fliers were from the summer period and should be taken away if the bar is closed during the winter. Restaurant was also closed.

The room was ok. The bed was very large and comfortable but the pillows were not so great. The location was good. The coffee was very good at the breakfast. Staff were helpful and nice.

Room was a bit chilly on cold winter nights with limited heat from the forced-air heater.

Charming historic hotel, 5-minute drive to Ortigia. Free on-site parking. Modernized room with good shower. Cordial staff. Very good breakfast buffet with protein (scrambled and boiled eggs, bacon, breakfast sausage, cold cuts, cheese), fresh fruit, and wide selection of pastries.

A bit further out of the heart of town than we realised. It was a shame that the lovely breakfast was let down by the undrinkable coffee on offer via a machine - and when we complained (as did several others) we were told we could have a proper one but at €3 each.

Beautiful old world charm - showed the grandeur of days gone by. And lovely extensive grounds.

The piped music in the dining room and around the hotel generally was bland and unnecessary.

This is a lovely historical hotel with much charm and friendly service. Churchill stayed here in the 50s and the President of the Republic of Italy was also a visitor more recently. Within walking distance (20 - 30 mins) from the archeological sites and Ortigia.
