United KingdomVilla Flora bedrooms are slightly dated. The wasps. Queues outside the gates for the Greek theatre.
Superb location with wonderful staff. The staff couldn’t do enough for us and were genuine. All the little touches were appreciated- water, fruit, gelato, sunscreen, sweets and happy hour. The view is exceptional. We loved being able to spend time on the beach too in the sister hotel.

Amazing hotel next to the ruins. Location is perfect. Not in the centre of the town so not noisy during the day and evening. The hotel has large grounds so you don't feel too cramped. Lots of places for walks and privacy. There is a free shuttle down to the other Belmond on the beach which runs every 30mins until late which is amazing. There is also a complimentary cruise around Isola Bella. Breakfast buffet was fantastic. Gym and pool were great also

LatviaOur room was in another building that was not even in the territory, but across the street. So for us the feeling was that we could actually stay in any other hotel or Airbnb nearby, save a lot of money and come over to restaurant to enjoy the views that the hotel has to offer. Because it did feel like that. It didn't feel like that we could wear a robe and go to a spa from there. The pool restaurant was really understaffed. It started to rain, and many people moved from pool to restaurant to have lunch, and there was only one waiter. We waited for an hour, because she didn't have enough hands to clean the tables for guests who have left. So that moment also felt like -at this price point, you should not be waiting in a queue for the table for an hour.
The location is stunning, beautiful views from the top. The restaurant and bar has a spectacular views. The atmosphere in the bar around the sunset was incredible. The concierge and people were really responsive and great. Another major bonus we enjoyed is the shuttle to the sister property to the beach, had a wonderful beach day there.

United StatesVery little, honestly. It's an incredible experience for those willing to spend the money. The only thing to be wary of would be the occasional annoyance from mosquitoes in the spring and summer.
First of all, the staff: they're incredible. Our stay was a honeymoon stay and they exceeded our expectations on all levels--there when you needed them and not when you didn't. We were able to enjoy the amazing Dior spa for a treatment which was one of the best we've ever had and the overall classic Sicilian vibe of the property/grounds is hard to match. Yes, the ultra-expensive Four Seasons down the street is also an incredible (and famous property) but for the value, charm, and equally grand history the Belmond Grand Timeo really can't be beat.

Super location, beautiful view and tasty food! The staff at hotel are wonderful people, they try their best to meet every single guest’s needs, very friendly which is genuine. I have to thank Stefania particularly who helped me a lot and gave me a lot of good suggestions . I am very grateful to meet her! Also the other staff like a girl who can speak Chinese, work at main building usually help to welcome guests for dinner there. She has a beautiful and warm smile, another young guy who wearing glasses, he also was very kind and helpful. Too bad I forgot to ask for their names.
