Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United KingdomOur room was on first floor and unexpectedly we had tiny intruders… ants, we understood that sometimes this things happen:). And it was poor pressure to flush the toilet that’s why we use bucket in several times.
Great location, rooms are spacious and clean but need some maintenance to looks better. Staff very helpful. Our hair dryer gets broken and had been replaced immediately. Also safe has been repaired straight away when we mention about the issue.

ArmeniaWe had a balcony but no seating facilities. Breakfast was the same every day but we stayed 3 nights and it wasn't a big deal for us.
Everything was great. The room was warm and sunny, and the staff were very friendly. There are plenty of supermarkets and delicious restaurants nearby, as well as bus stops. Breakfast was very tasty. The hotel is also very close to the Vatican.

The room cleaning was excellent, and the attitude of the cleaning staff was also very commendable.

United StatesShowers are tiny!! Too small to be comfortable and toilets have to be flushed several times to clear waste which uses a lot of water---we stayed at the Gravina on either side of our bike tour and on our 2nd stay the bathroom smelled awful.all the time, like sewage. YUK!!!!
Location was chosen by tour leader based on the fact the motorcycle rental was across the street. AC worked good and beds were comfortable. Front desk personnel were very helpful, especially Vito. GRAZIE VITO!!!!

United StatesThe staff was a bit rude. It was like pulling teeth to ask for bath towels as if we were going to steal them. We didn’t have any bath towels at all!
It was comfortable.

bed was comfortable- room was big enough that we were not tripping over our bags or each other- AC was cold, quiet location- breakfast area looked nice (we checked out prior to it being served)

United KingdomShower cubicle is tight. Note fridge & kettle use same wall plug. Few tatty edges but nothing major.
Handy 3 mins walk to S.Pietro main train station / buses 62 &64 & taxi rank ( not good with heavy suitcases). 15+ mins walk down to Vatican etc. Many well priced eateries around (ask for locals menu). Small handy Carrefour supermarket around corner. Great roof terrace bar (yes with that St Peter’s dome view!) but bar was not running - but staff said ok to use it with own drinks. Breakfast better than expected. Altogether a decent option for ordinary folk.

PolandThere is a construction going on in the neighbouring plot, which means that after 7am you can hear the noises accompanying the work. For those who want to sleep longer this can be a bit annoying. We got plenty of sleep despite this.
Breakfast in the form of a buffet (smorgasbord). Rooms clean and cleaned daily. Excellent starting point for visiting the Vatican, the Castle of San Angelo and Trastevere. It takes about 17 minutes to walk to St Peter's Square. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. On the first day we were given a room with one bed instead of two. The next day our luggage was moved to the correct room. Thank you!

UgandaAir conditioner in room was rather too cold for me and could not be adjusted. There was no iron/ironing board to press creased clothes. The shower closet doors were not well aligned, need some fixing to prevent water seeping to the ground during the showering process.
Room was spacious, very clean, air conditioned , the toilet had a guarantee notice that it had been sanitized previously. Water was soft, shower cap and soap and clean , fresh smelling towels were provided. There is a kettle in room to make a hot cup of tea. Breakfast was beautifully served. There was a buffet of a wide array of fresh fruits, fruit juice, a choice of yogurt, cakes, bread, scrambled eggs, sausage, and a coffee machine to select the type of tea. Location is excellent for one wishing to tour the Vatican city which is within walk-able distance. The area is surrounded by a number of restaurants, super market, shopping areas and is about 10 mins walk from Train station.

United KingdomThe breakfast isn’t great and not much variety. If you have allergies/intolerances there isn’t much for you to eat at all There was water leaking from somewhere behind the wall in the bathroom, it has caused water damage to the door frame. On check out day we had a knock on the door at 10 one of the cleaners was asking when we would be leaving as check out is 10. Despite the information given to me being 11 she still said it was 10. The back of the door and reception said 11. That was frustrating to feel rushed out, maybe because we were on the 1st floor and they wanted to start with all of the 1st floor first. I don’t know but she was very standoffish
We had the best sleep here! Location is great for Vatican and is an easy walk to bus stops to be in the heart of Rome
