Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsDue to poor insulation, noises from the street can disturb your sleep - I'd suggest bringing earplugs. Breakfast wasn't satisfactory for me. They had fresh apples, but no seasonal fruit. Croissants and bread weren't high quality either, and the choice was limited.
The location is simply excellent, right across the Hercolaneum ruins, 8 mins from the station and the main attractions, super friendly and helpful staff - both the reception and in the breakfast room

United KingdomDue to the location of the hotel and being on the main road to the site, the road cleaners started early in the morning and weren't very quiet, even with the windows shut.
Hotel location is right opposite Herculaneum site so ideal for location. We went out of season so the hotel was quite, breakfast was simple but perfect to fill up on before a day exploring. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved sitting out on the terrace of an evening with a beer, very lovely.

Thailandcar parking arrangements are good BUT stopping to drop off or pick up luggage outside the hotel is a nightmare. Its even a big challenge for taxis.....the hotel staff try to do their best to help but there is very little they can do.

United KingdomWe arrived in the rain and had not seen, right at the bottom of the reviews, that the carpark was not on site! Parking was one of the icons in the facilities section, but did not mention that it was a good 10 minute walk away (unfortunately in the rain!) and €10 a night! Had we known that we would have looked at other places. The photos were very deceptive, I had expected a small garden area from the pictures, but it was a rooftop terrace, covered with fake plants! There was a very SLOW lift to the 1st floor and then stairs or change to another paying lift! We were on the 2nd floor, so if you find stairs difficult, check first where your room is! The room itself was decent, with a tiny balcony although we had trouble locking the french windows. Bathroom was good with a large shower, although the toilet flush was not the best!
Check in went well, staff were very helpful. We were close to Herculaneum which we had never visited before. There was an interactive museum close by about the eruption of Vesuvius in 79AD which was very interesting. Restaurants were easy to find and good value. Breakfast was good. We had to leave in the early hours of our last morning and the night porter was very good, giving advice on where we could park the car closer to the hotel for a few hours overnight and helping us with luggage - again. The airport was only 20 mins away and easy enough to get to.

United KingdomThe street noise and traffic noise.
The hotel is in an absolutely fantastic location as far as the ruins of Herculeaum, the station and the town of Ercolono. The staff were friendly and helpful. There's no getting away from the fact there's a degree of street noise, especially traffic.

New ZealandThe mattress was very uncomfortable and leaned to one side.
The staff were friendly. The hotel is conveniently Location right across the road from the ruins though it is a long uphill if you want to take the train from Ercolano Scavi station (about 6-7mins). The buffet was basic Italian style, but as was expected. There is a really nice balcony area but you must order drinks from reception (no staff at balcony).

Poland- The view through the window wasn’t like the one presented in the hotel description. - At the beginning safe wasn’t there. For a request the hotel staff brought it but it was broken 😅 - If you need to go somewhere before breakfast time, of course inform on the reception but most probably you will get only coffee (very tasty!) with things like cake or biscuit.
The terrace was amazing, rooms were clean and receptionists were very, very helpful. Around 8 min to Ercolano Scavia train station. 20 min to the closest beach. Good base for the travels around.

Ideal place to stay for visiting the historical site which is directly across the road. The room was comfortable and the added bonus was having a private balcony. The hotel also has a terrace in which you can use to chill out. The staff were very friendly and helpful with any of our queries. In particularly the young gentleman who worked the reception desk who directed us to the parking facility. The parking facility was also very convenient and reasonably priced. The staff at the breakfast buffet and cleaning staff were also very friendly.

DenmarkCar park located some 300 m from the hotel entrance, but then, it worked out ok.
Very friendly staff, comfortable room, and location, location, location, right by the entrance to the Heculaneum ruins. Stay overnight and enter the ruins in the morning to avoid the crowds.

United KingdomIt was a little noisy at night but was expected being so close to the high streets.
Great location with Herculaneum archaeological site just across the road. The site was more enjoyable for us than Pompeii with two young children being a smaller site and more preserved. Other attractions nearby...the "Golden Mile" of Villas and Reggio Portici palace and botanical gardens. Two train stations within easy reach. We used the vesuvio express which leaves from near Ercolano train station to reach mount Vesuvius (great experience) The staff of the hotel were very friendly. Good range of food available for breakfast. Nice communal terrace.

United KingdomMinor gripes: The balcony and poor furniture - stools for sitting out were very disappointing. Air-conditioning good. The shower head (and another room's) were broken. Mine was fixed almost immediately after I had reported the problem to reception but the very next day, it was returned to its broken state. Sounds like they have a limited number of good ones they switch. Didn't like dragging my heavy case up the many flights of stairs whilst trying to keep up with the concierge. Turned out there is a lift from the first floor to the second. Didn't like the metal staircase external to the building. Couldn't see an alternative fire escape route.
Location ideal. Room good. Great breakfast. Very helpful English speaking staff organised many things for me including a wonderful Amalfi boat trip at short notice and safely stored my luggage on the last day when I visited Herculaneum across the road.

South AfricaThe bed was a uncomfortable and the bed cover a little worn/old. The balcony was a bit untidy with torn netting to hide the air conditioning units.
