Just be careful if you have mobility problems as the walk into the city centre, although not too long, has very narrow footways and lots of traffic.

Can't be many hotels in Sorrento with better views! Food and drinks in the restaurant were exceptional and not too expensive. All the staff were friendly and couldn't have been more helpful

Wish pillows were a little firmer, but would still absolutely stay here again.

We had room number 18 and the views of Sorrento and Mount Vesuvius were incredible! We had a few early tours and it was lovely of the hotel staff to arrange private transport for us to the Amalfi Coast and provide us with some hot americanos for the ride. We loved taking advantage of the included breakfast in the lovely dining room each morning. Also, very nice lunches on the terrace!

We had four nights in this lovely hotel. It's superbly located with stunning views across the bay and just a ten minute stroll down the hill into the heart of the town. All the staff were kind and very helpful, we had a very nice and spacious room and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Sorrento is beautiful and the hotel is a great base from which to enjoy it: the private beach is a bonus extra and we spent one full and enjoyable day on it. We'd strongly recommend the hotel and thanks again to all the staff.

The hotel is beautiful, comfortable and spacious, with a great sea view. The personnel is very polite and helpful. On the last day of our trip, we found an injured hawk on the beach front of the hotel and the hotel personnel helped us so much in contacting the competent service to take care of it. We are very grateful for their help, which contributed significantly to the hawk's rescue.

the bathroom was a little inconvenient without towel holders/bars and the bathtub would have been better with a stand up shower alternative

Traditional hotel - fantastic views over the river and of Mount Vesuvius. Annalisa, on reception was very kind. From answering all my questions on Booking.com to then upgrading my room, for free, when I got to the hotel. Also, when I asked one of the cleaning operatives where the iron was located - she insisted on ironing my clothes herself.

LaTonarella was our most memorable stay during our trip! It was so charming with beautiful views of the Mediterranean Sea and you could see Mt Vesuvius across the water, It was beautiful in the morning. The hotel was so charming in every way from the beautiful decor, which was traditional with beautiful woods and the upholstery was modern and new. There was an elevator and nature walk down to the beach that was indescribably picturesque. We had dinner in the restaurant the first night and it was one of the best meals we enjoyed on our two-week trip. The hotel staff was so helpful with all of our needs. And a great plus was the location. We had a 10 minute walk down into the city center each night. The street was well lit to be able to walk back to the hotel as the sun was setting.

The only things that the hotel could improve was the corner shower doors didn't create a great seal and I would like to have Kleenex facial tissues.

The large patio and view were outstanding. The staff were so accommodating and friendly. The breakfast was excellent. We enjoyed some relaxation at the private beach.

It’s position and views from everywhere, parking, restaurant and breakfast. Room was a bit small but had a blacony. We had a seaview room and were looking back on sorrento with chairs and table to enjoy the view. Just watching the comings and goings of boats was a pleasure. The terrace restaurant was outstanding the best meal we had in Italy. The lift to the beach is good, the beach is a little bit wavy because it is not in a protected cove, and the pebbles were a bit tricky. Discount for lounges at the beach and a lovely little restaurant.
