Our room was situated right next to the elevator and cleaning room, our door to the room was not isolated so we heard everything that was happening in the hallway.

The hotel was very clean and beautifully decorated. The staff were very polite and professional. Our favourite part of the hotel was the rooftop restaurant La lampara and breakfast service to our room. This hotel has the best location in Ischia for sure.

This is an aged property in need of updates. This is not 5 stars, maybe 3. Especially when comparing to other 5 star properties on the isle. The spa definitely needs a refresh, definitely not up to its rating.

The location was nice, good view of castle. Nice restaurants near, walk to the main centro area which is nice. The staff at front desk, and breakfast were fantastic and kind.

On pictures it seems there is an outdoor waterfront pool, but there is not. Maybe it has been earlier.

Private beach. The location of the hotel is perfect, in the middle of the two parts of Ischia Porto. The staff was very nice. The whole hotel was elegant, nice and clean.

The shower went hot then cold non stop and I wish the tv was bigger with a few English channels.

Firstly the staff were all so warm friendly and helpful. Best service. The location was incredible and we could not get enough of the magnificent view. Best spot in Ischia.

The hotel is classically beautiful and feels old school Italian. The location is terrific about a 7 minute walk to the castello aragonese and near a small number of shops and restaurant. Beautiful view from the terrace. The walk to the port and main town is a little further around 25 minute walk

The room was a little bit on the small side, and being near the road/public beach side a little bit noisey at times, but we still managed a good night's sleep. There isn't a pool (just two hot tubs on the roof) but you can use the pool at the neighbouring 'sister' hotel which is just across the road.

It's a lovely, old-fashioned hotel that's not too big. Staff are all friendly, food is delicious, breakfast included, nothing too much trouble. Fabulous view of the castle and sea. Walkable to Ischia Ponte, and the port (1/2 hour walk). Bus stop within a two-minute walk. Good beaches within reach.

We had to be transferred to the sister hotel across the street due to technical issues, but Mare Blu did not disappoint. Staff were engaging, polite and very helpful.

The wifi did not have the best reception. There was a large barrier type wall with an opening in between the bed area and windows- sitting in the area by the open windows the wifi was lost, internet was actually better on the beach. Unfortunately our toilet had flushing issues but staff attended to it immediately (on 2 occasions in 4 days). I do not know whether it was resolved after we left.

Miramare e Castello is a beach resort in Ischia that was a welcome respite from the crowded Amalfi Coast. It's located in a perfect area to enjoy and explore the island which is the best kept secret in the Bay of Naples. This hotel has a spa (which we never used), private beach, small pool surrounded by cushioned seating and grand vistas of the sea and dramatic Castello Argonese. There is a rooftop restaurant and a convenient bar on the ground floor providing service when lounging on the beach chairs or by the pool. The breakfast area is bright and sunny with a terrace, attentive waitstaff and virtually anything available to eat or drink. The reception desk and staff were always very nice and helpful. This hotel is an easy stroll to a lovely street loaded with restaurants, trattorias and shops along a charming village that leads you right to the imposing castle entrance. There is a bus that takes you into Ischia Porto for ferries or to other buses that can take you all over the island. We had a room with a gorgeous sea view which was worth it, not really large but a decent size. The bathroom was large and open with a full tub/shower and windows overlooking the sea as well.

A bit confused on which facilities were connected to the two sister hotels, but I could also just have asked.

The most wonderful location on Ischia with the most attentive staff. And impressed by their cleaning routines and staff. The spa treatments are recommended.
