Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaNothing. A small suggestion of maybe providing a kettle to make coffee or tea in the apartment for those that want it. Coffee cups were provided.
Everything!!! The accommodation was fabulous. The apartment is really well set out with all you need for a very comfortable stay. It’s just a few steps away from the Piazza Grande with views from the bedroom and living room windows. The Restaurant below is 10/10. The food is some of the best I’ve had in Tuscany and the panoramic terrace is a must to visit. The owners of the B&B were easy to communicate with and very helpful. The breakfast was a lovely spread of cold meats, cheese, bread, cakes, yoghurt, fresh fruit, juice and coffee. It was more than enough to eat. I’d definitely stay here again.

United StatesFantastic family run property and restaurant. There are only two rooms so you need to book early or get lucky to stay here. Everyone was warm and welcoming and the food was perfect. I had the Ribolitta (sp?) Which is now my favorite Tuscan meal. We had a view of the square and we're lucky enough to see part of a performance from our windows. 10 of 10 totally recommend.

CanadaNot an easy drive if you plan on renting a car. If you do, do not arrive at night. Staff was extremely helpful guiding us into the piazza. 2 flights of stairs to first unit (travel lightly).
Great location, right in the heart of the town. Staff was very accommodating- we arrived very late and they stayed up to wait for us. Great security (three locked entrances to your room).

United KingdomOsteria del Borgo is right in the centre o Montepulciano. Our host Giacomo was very courteous and helped us to park the car. Our apartment had a kitchen, living room and bedroom comfortable and with lots of traditional authentic features. We had a delicious tuscan meal on the restaurant terrace which has a superb view on adjoining hills. We will certainly stay there again.

United StatesThe staff was just wonderful! They arranged our taxi for us one morning when we had a cooking class in a nearby town. We stayed in one of the rooms for 2 nights (it was MASSIVE) and dined at the restaurant one night as well. The restaurant was just as wonderful as the room! We loved our stay and hope to come back again soon!

AustraliaThis property is in a great spot as we were able to walk everywhere around the beautiful town. The host was very inviting and arranged a table for us at the busy restaurant the night we arrived. It was a perfect backdrop to dine under the Tuscan sunset! Breakfast was included and was very handy to start our day before exploring amazing Montepulciano. A must whilst in this town is a tour of the underground wine cellar, De’Ricci cantine storiche, fantastic!!

Amazing location and property! The owner was very friendly and made himself available for anything we may have needed. He booked a cab for us for the truck back to the train station. The dinner at the restaurant was great - with incredible views. A delicious and filling breakfast was given every morning. All the staff were so kind and sweet. Already planning our trip back!

United StatesParking around Montepuliciano takes a little planning. Look at google maps and such before you arrive. No matter where you park, you will have to walk uphill to get to the center of town. We are in our late 60's and there was a bit of huffing and puffing. This is not a place to visit if walking or going up/down stairs is a problem for you.
This hotel is located right in the center of Montpulciano, just across the street from the central square of the town (it appears that all Italian cities have a central square). We were lucky enough to be there when they performed an opera in the central square. The restaurant in the hotel is awesome, and we were going to travel out of town for dinner, but decided (because we didn't want to give up our parking space) to stay to dine in the hotel restaurant, and it was a very good decision. The owner, Francesco, and his staff are well informed as the wines of the region, and if wine is your interest, they aim to please without breaking the bank.

AustraliaThere are 50 steps up to the apartment and another 12 inside, to the bedroom. This didn't worry us, but might be difficult for older or disabled people.
The panoramic view from our apartment was amazing and the apartment itself was so spacious and nice. Osteria del Borgo is also perfectly located just off the Grande Piazza, so it's central location made it very easy to get around town and back to the apartment to rest or change. Such a beautiful place! We didn't want to leave! The staff were also warm and welcoming. Thank you Fransisco to you and your dad and the staff at tge restaurant 🙂

Stayed a week in Montepulchiano. Lovely apartment with the view over the main square. Highly recommend for the festival week - best view of the performance! Comfortable 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms. Very helpful staff! Breakfast included in stay had some cold cuts and pastry options as well as fruit- good start to the day!
