How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Room: The hairdryer is of very poor quality. Better not to have such a bad hairdryer in the room, and have good ones available at reception. It overheated and turned off every 90 secs, and I had to wait 2-3 minutes for it to work again. It took me over 30 mins to dry my hair (usually takes 5 minutes) and I was late for my meeting. Breakfast: some of the food did not look fresh. The fruit salad tasted like water, the eggs were not appetising (both the scrambled and the fried looked gummy), the cold cuts were dry and turning up at the edges, the bread rolls looked and felt stale. But the big loaves of bread were good! And there was a good choice of yoghurts. I did not try the pastries but they looked good too. Service was with a smile!
Room: Clean, many hangers for clothes, mirrors, good pillows, big TV Good gym Easy check-in and check-out Big parking lot I felt safe.

I recently stayed one night at RMH Modena Des Arts during a business trip to Modena, and it was a great experience. The hotel was modern, clean, and very comfortable. Excellent staff from reception, to bar staff to restaurant staff…. It’s also easy access to other local cities and has a train station nearby. My friends took locally booked taxi to get to town (Modena) one night when I didn’t want to drive. Was cheap and quick from the hotel! I love the fact the hotel is in a quiet and safe location - no road noise in room with blackout curtains which is great. Nearly like a 4* international hotel! Amazing value.

I was very pleasantly surprised upon arrival. The hotel makes a bright and inviting impression as you enter, and this feeling continued all the way to the room. The staff was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and explained everything perfectly. The hotel is in a very quiet location, and I had a great night's sleep in my bed. The breakfast left nothing to be desired. With such a breakfast, you can start the day perfectly. All I can say is thumbs up—keep up the great work!

A printed menu wasn't available. Perhaps you could get one if you asked for it.
The bathroom and bedroom were very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. I liked the modern style of the cushions in the lobby. The staff were very professional and pleasant.

The spa area was in need of updating.
Location was excellent and easily accesssible by car. We enjoyed 2 delicious dinners and breakfasts. The talented chef was friendly and went out of his way to greet us. The wait staff was excellent and friendly. Rooms were clean and spacious enough, but overall a 10 for our needs.

Very far from the city center (much more than 3.8miles as stated in Booking.com) It takes at least ~15 minutes drive (without traffic).

Staff at breakfast was overwhelmed.

However, there was room for improvement. We felt that the staff could have been more friendly and accommodating, especially considering the language barrier. A bit more warmth and understanding would go a long way in making guests feel more welcome.
The hotel had its strengths - RMH Modena Des Arts was extremely and spotlessly clean! The staff was also helpful in assisting us with printing important documents, which we really appreciated.
