How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Cancelled our transfer from the airport to the hotel the morning of the transfer leaving us to have to quickly make alternative transportation arrangements.
The breakfast was phenomenal! Best breakfast of our whole vacation.

My husband and I stayed for two nights. It is very close to the Vatican & museums making for an easy and short walk. The room was very clean and the air conditioning was much appreciated for the heat wave we experienced. We loved the setup, which I cannot do justice of in my writing. I wish I'd taken photos. The staff was amazing and super helpful. The manager was exceptional. She called a taxi for us and even went outside with us to show us how to make sure we got into the correct Taxi. I would definitely stay here again!

Had to carry luggage up stairs
Breakfast was substantial and yummy. Room was serviced daily. The staff were lovely and a big shout out to Fulvia

Not having automatic entry into the room. Didn’t like handing the key in at the desk each time. Seemed congested at entryway.
The location was the best. Breakfast was great, wish it was a buffet. Comfortable beds.

We were located near reception . The staff could be quite noisy at night. Also a door the other guests used, was also noisy each morning. The bed was very firm, and I woke with back pain.
We stayed 4 nights, the air con was excellent ! Breakfast was great also. The staff very friendly.

No space at the reception to seat down, reception located in narrow corridor between entrance to the building from the street and the yard, where the hotel was situated.
The location was 4 Minutes away from metro and bus station, many restaurants available over the corner.

I clicked on Booking.com for 'hotels with parking' but had to use a public car park down the road as they don't have their own - they offer car parks nearby for you to book yourself.
What a great hotel! It was a great price, very nice room, perfectly clean, lovely reception staff, perfect location. I would definitely stay there again.

Very close to the vatican city and metro station. Super friendly staff, Fulvia even offered us a better room and was very welcoming. We enjoyed our stay a lot!

Location was within 10 minutes of the Vatican, & basically we walked everywhere. Breakfast was amazing & great choices. Staff was friendly and very helpful.

Wifi internet did not have sufficient bandwith for online TV which was freezing very often (just good for email, browsing and social networks). We've had to use our mobile data for internet TV.
Excellent location close to Vatican and in the middle of all the restaurants and little shops. All or most of the rooms face the courtyard so we've heard no street noise. Relatively large room and excellent - very ergonomic mattress, good for our spine. Very helpful and friendly staff - they also arranged reliable taxi transfers for us. Variety of stuff for breakfast (though it was a served breakfast with some choices).

Air conditioning. The room was VERY hot and the aircon didn’t cool the room down. Once I had showered I had to leave the hotel just to cool down whilst waiting for my partner.
Loved everything about it, very nice except the air con.

Nothing everything was great!
The staff were very helpful Reception lady explained the local map which saved us time getting lost. Breakfast was really good, food always fresh and waitress was very kind and attentive. The rooms were clean Staff always welcomed any questions, gave good recommendations for food, transport options and tours. Really recommended!

It’s not indicated on the page that the room does not have windows. It does have a glass wall so it was fine but we were surprised. Also there’s no shower curtain so you flood the bathroom when taking a shower. The breakfast is excellent and staff is friendly.

The breakfast room was small but served its purpose.
Great location with easy access to restaurants and a variety of retail stores. A 10 min walk away from the Vatican. Staff was super helpful and accommodating. Would definitely stay again.
