Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

They are all willing to make your stay confortable. شكرا جزيلا The location is ideal with the swimming pool and next to South Beach with very easy access to the sea, it was very convenient with 2 toddlers ! Diving was available at the same location which makes it very convenient. Amazing moment with photos (thanks!).

NetherlandsFar away from Aqaba, place was also deserted when I was there. Food was therefore minimal. Only had the very basic breakfast and sometimes lunch, but went out for dinner in the city mostly. Very few vegetarian/vegan options (despite asking in advance). Basically they leave out the meat for you. Wasnt extremely clean and room wasnt cleaned once in a week long stay. They probably sent the cleaner away as I was the only guest.
Quiet, close to the dive sites. Nice staff

Close to the beach, but budget accommodation. Very difficult to grade this place Overall service 9, hotel 3 = 6. However, considering good location (that’s why we chose it) and friendliness of the staff we even may return. This is a 2-start hotel, staff was friendly, breakfast acceptable, rooms barely on the level. We arrived late, informed the hotel, but there was no one there; luckily, we found a guy in the hotel close by. Rooms were not prepared – no towels, bathrooms not ready. There were cockroaches in one room On the other hand hotel is as close to the beach as possible, owner and staff gave us a good diving advices, with very fair prices. So, if you expect medium level of rooms don’t go there, otherwise if you want to dive and can accept lower level rooms, with fair prices, it’s OK for few days..

NetherlandsIt all looked a bit outdated. Staff was at first not very inviting. Diving spot was amazing, but no briefing before, no information about the reef before, same for snorkeling (therefore missed a big army tank under the water).
Great location near the beach. Nice that they have a Diving place. Food you can order for lunch and dinner was very nice, breakfast was okay.

Hungarystaff to be more motivated. Good if they tell us at arrival how to switch waterpump, hot water, giving email password. Cleaning on the court and around the hotel would be extra plus good. Good if we get a room where hotwater works.. when off season they have to repair.. not when we are in the room. or giving rooms where works.

GermanyThe seal of the shower door didn't keep the water in the shower area, but if you didn't place clothes on the floor it wasn't an issue.
You can't beat the location of Darna. We enjoy seeing the Red Sea and mountains from the patio and simply walking across the street to snorkel and enjoy the water.

SwedenThe roof in my room needed some rehabilitation. The basket in my bathroom for toilet paper was never emptied. The prices in the restaurant were rather high. The food in the restaurant varied, some were very good and some were rather tasteless.

ItalyIf you wake up a bit late, most food for breakfast is already gone. The dinner was a bit expensive and of average quality.
My family and I spent 2 nights in this center during a short visit to Aqaba. The Darna Divers Village is at about 15 minutes from the city center, but is wonderfully located in front of a public beach where you can enjoy the sea and the coral reef. The rooms are pretty basic, but they are ok if you look for a simple place to enjoy the sea. Initially, my wife and I were assigned a room with a sea view, but it was really noisy (it was above the kitchen). When we said we were there to celbrate our 30th wedding anniversary, the manager was so nice to find another (much better) room for us, and we really appreciated it. The diving center is well equiped, and you can rent the snorkeling or even diving equipment, with a guide (if you need one). The external area around the pool is perfect to relax and enjoy the wonderful climate of the region. Breakfast was included in the room cost, and it was ok. We also had a dinner, which we found a bit expensive compared to other restaurants in Aqaba.
