Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesThe trash instructions were kind of confusing, we didn’t see them in the elevator for several days and more confusing is where to put the trash you are taking out. My husband spent an hour cleaning the washing machine filter as it wasn’t clean to our expectations. Sometimes we could hear the people below us but we put a sound machine on and things were fine.
There were only two of us staying for 6 nights and there was room to sleep 8 at least. The were two toilets and sinks which is nice and one shower/bath. The washing machine is on the balcony and you can dry clothes there or on a rack or in the shower/bathroom which has a heat setting. One has the whole floor and it is very spacious. There is a great bakery down the street as well as one next door which is more like cake pastries. Overall clean and spacious, first place where the freezer actually worked. There is a nice table for eating. Subway stations were close. The manager could be easily reached by phone or booking.com messaging.

AustraliaOnly issue we had with the place was the wifi. Very slow and had to keep switching to our data.
Loved the easy self check in. The beds were super comfy & warm. The apartment is big and was great for us as a family of 5. Also loved the drying facility in the bathroom for drying clothes. Quite neighbourhood with vending machines on each corner. Location is great with two metro stations within a 5-10min walk.

TaiwanFor this trip, we were a group of 10 friends traveling together. Considering that each of us had large luggage, we split into two rooms. The rooms were spacious enough for 5 people to open and organize their 26-inch suitcases. The location is a 10-minute walk from the nearest subway station, and there are convenience stores along the way for any necessary purchases. The room facilities were compact and useful, including a well-hidden hanger. If informed in advance, the accommodation also provides an iron. However, please note that towels will not be replaced during the stay, and there is no room cleaning service. If needed, you can use the in-house washing machine to clean and dry the towels for reuse.

MalaysiaNothing to dislike. The owner prepares limited hanger to hang your clothes. So please prepare your own if you go with big group. Lift quite small. Can only fit in up to 3/4 people at one time.
Walking distance to metro station. Easy to check in and check out. Has washing machine and dryer.

Taiwannot really. Perhaps not sufficient space for all the opened luggage, but we are in a 8-day trip including some skiing so it is hard to fit the luggages any place in Tokyo anyway. the host has also made it clear that we cannot store luggages upon check out. It might bother some people but we found that it is actually not a problem at all: it is better to store stuff at Ueno station (or Asakusa), and in this way we don't need to come back to get the luggage.
The big dinning table, two toilets and two washing sinks with mirrors, huge garbage bins, bunk beds, all showing the excellent understanding the host has about family travel. The host is very communicative as well. All the code needed for entering the main gate and details for checkin are given ahead of time, and a code for accessing the room was given upon check-in. Very suitable for families with teens or older. We actually pushed luggage cases all the way from Ueno to the condo without a problem, in a not-so-cold day in January.

SingaporeReally not much space to hang the laundry if you intend to do one, suggest host add in a foldable clothes rack for wet laundry. Check out time is at 11am, probably later time will be ideal
Spacious, quiet neighbourhood, good for 6 pax, there are 2 toilets and 1 shower with heater, very good for Winter. There is a Ta Q Bin down the street where you can send your luggages to airport in advance, walkable distance to Asakusa

AustraliaIt was great.
Everything. Easy walk to Ueno station and several subway stations. There was no staff but the electronic check in was so easy. We had the entire floor to ourselves. We prepared our own breakfasts in the well appointed kitchen and were able to freshen up all our clothes with the washing machine located on the balcony. Easy to get to all the amazing crowded places in Tokyo but in a nice quiet area. Would absolutely stay here again.

SingaporeThe lift and lift lobby are quite small! They can fit either two people with luggage or the five of us without luggage at a time. While the living area is spacious, the bathroom is very compact, and there’s no place to hang all the used towels.
This was probably the best accommodation of my entire trip. The place is clean, spacious, and the beds are very comfortable. All five of us had our own cozy sleeping spaces. While it’s not the closest to a single train station, its location is convenient as it’s within walking distance to at least three stations, with a slightly longer walk to the main Ueno station.

United KingdomNothing, we loved everything about this apartment.
The apartment was very well planned, it had plenty of space for a family of 4 (could have stayed up to 8 guests probably). Has lovely designed bunk beds, two WCs, a shower and a bath tub. Next to the entrance there is a lovely little cafe that serves amazing cakes so very convenient if you a little early for your check - in. Very lovely and super quiet location, plenty of small family markets around if you need some essentials to buy and within walking distance from Tokyo Skytree (approx 35min).
