Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IndiaThe space is very small. The toilet has barely enough space to fit in yourself while sitting on the pot. And if you plan to use that bath tub, be prepared to sit and soak yourself instead of laying down. But that's the reality of most hotels in Tokyo. Be prepared to accommodate in the small space. And good luck is you are a tall person
Location is great. It's actually 2 mins walk from Senso-ji, right in the heart of Tokyo's tourist areas. Staff is very friendly and can easily converse in English. Rooms are very clean and amenities are good.

Qatar- the cleaning team did not thoroughly cleaned up our room, particularly the washroom. - there was no microwave to use to heat food. - the washroom/toilet was comparatively smaller versus other similar hotels.
- Okay location. Can be reached by train or taxi. - the staff are very friendly and can communicate in English. - the bed and pillows were not too soft (much to my liking). - for a Tokyo hotel room, the double room that was given to us was spacious, compared to the other hotels we've used in the past two years of 6 visits in Japan. - the hotel has washer and dryer which are cheaper to use. - Wi-fi was okay, doesn't get disconnected at random.

United KingdomRooms a little small and beds hard.
The staff were incredible, and could not have been more helpful. The location is amazing, a stones throw from the Senso Ji Temple and great market and food spots. Also less than 100m from the Ginza Line for the metro.

BrazilThe room is right for 2 people with luggage for 15 days vacation. It is quite common in Tokyo, I know, but still a bit more space would be good
This is almost the perfect score. Staff = kind, bed = comfortable, room was tidy, the free coffee was very good and the location is even better. The sensoji temple is 2 blocks away, with a street full of interesting things to do, and close to the subway

United KingdomNone.
My stay in this hotel was memorable! Not only that they managed to meet my request, having a room facing the Sensoji temple, but also was always greeted by the hotel staff’s warm and welcoming smile! :) They speak good english which makes it better during checkin and checkout process. Also, we were able to use the washing machine at 2nd floor. The only downside is that during the time while I was about to use the dryer, another guest seems to hog it and she told me she has 2 more batches of clothing for drying. lol It will be nice to have more dryers available. The location was amazing! I can’t believe me and husband were able to roam around at the temple before the surge of other tourist comes. I just love this hotel and this area! We will definitely stay here again when we return next year! Thank you team Hop inn Asakusa! :)

New ZealandNothing that I can think of.
Amazing location in the heart of Asakusa, close to shops, restaurants and train station. I could even see the temple from my hotel room. The room itself is larger and more comfortable compared to other business hotels and it even has a heat pump which many hotels don’t have. Staff were friendly and helpful.

United KingdomLocation and the staff. The train station is not too far from the hotel. We can see Sensoji-Temple from our room. There is a convenience store and restaurants to choose from nearby. We enjoyed shopping souvenirs at Nakamise-Dori street. The staff is pleasant and helpful and made our stay extra special on our 10th Anniversary. Arigato gozaimasu!

SingaporeDrinking water is not provided on daily basic; room cleaning is done every 4th day Washing machine and dryer has only 2 pairs to serve the 10th storey hotel. More machines will be good.
Location is very very good because the hotel is next to the famous asakusa temple and the shopping street, plus there is 24 hour donki building, muji, daiso, McDonald's, Starbucks, 4 train stations and even the sky tree. The room is spacious to open 2 big luggage on the floor. My room has direct sight of the famous temple so everyday can view.

United Arab EmiratesFor the price, it's a great deal and offers excellent value. In an affordable hotel close to the main station and landmarks, you can't expect everything to be perfect—but overall, there's really nothing to complain about.
Me and my wife have a fantastic stay at this hotel! The location is unbeatable—just a short walk from Asakusa landmarks and train stations, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. Whether it was dining, shopping, or public transport, everything was easily accessible. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with all the essentials. The staff was friendly and accommodating, adding to the overall great experience. If you're looking for a hotel with a prime location and excellent service, this is the perfect choice!
