Wild lotus far exceeded our expectations. The bungalow is stunning, spacious with a fantastic outdoor shower and plenty of space for our family of four. The hammocks, swimming pool and outdoor dining space works perfectly. Then food is exceptional, fresh, flavoursome and varied. The staff go above and beyond to make the stay unique and enjoyable. Amazing stay at a peaceful beautiful villa. We had the smaller one and it was so big! Lots of fun things to do on the grounds, and staff were so friendly. We organised the safari through the hotel and had a private jeep just us and a guide. Food was really tasty and reasonably priced. Thank you!!! Shame we didn’t stay longer.

Remote type location, so no where to eat other than the property, however the food was amazing!

Property ground ans the pool were beautiful. The house we had was wonderful with the adults bedroom downstairs. Staff were lovely and happy to assist in any way.

I wish we had more time here. We had 1 night and arrived late post afternoon safari, so it was dark. We didn't see the goats or made full use of the property. The room was spacious, full kitchen, staff were super friendly, beds were amazingly comfortable, there was an outside shower and indoor one with bath, fridge.. a home from home.

One of the most charming places I stayed in. A hidden small gem in the middle of the fields of Yala with beautiful wild nature all around and a small walk to a beautiful small gated farm and lake with chicken and goats. The bungalow was spacious and clean with a lot of attention to details including an outdoor shower and hammocks and dining table at the porch overlooking a beautiful garden and pool. Service is excellent with very pleasant staff that make you just feel at home. Preordered food from a rich menu was delicious and served at the bungalow porch. Owner was very welcoming and friendly. Safari ride was amazing and arranged by the hotel. Highly recommended if you are looking for a quite and exclusive small place to stay in Yala.

We couldn’t have wished for a nicer place to stay whilst in Sri Lanka, we visited Galle; Mirissa and Yala with our 10 and 11 year old boys. It was quiet, in the most beautiful location and the team could not have done any more to make our stay as memorable as possible. It was our son’s 10th birthday whilst we were there and the team organised a cake, balloons and even decorated our breakfast table. Madu’s dad was wonderful, so lovely to our sons and a fountain of knowledge. We went on a lovely boat trip with him where we bird watched and learnt about all the local wildlife, he went out of his way to ensure the kids were entertained, he even fished with them in the pond in the garden. We were a little unlucky with the weather but it didn’t stop us having a wonderful time on safari or doing any of the things we had planned. We will definitely visit again & couldn’t be happier with the experience we had at The Wild Lotus.

Wild Lotus is honestly a little slice of heaven - I feel like we arrived and I literally thought wow, the holiday starts now! The place is beautiful, the facilities are great and the staff are second to none! Special thanks to Shehani and Malin in particular, but everyone was so helpful, attentive and fabulous! They organised transfers, a birthday cake, a safari - we couldn’t have asked for more :)

Amazing villa in the wild. The owner was super nice, and made sure we had everything we needed. The place is clean, the room is very big with an amazing outdoor/indoor shower. The service for the food was also super nice, always on time and the choice of food was very variegated. We also did the safari with them, which is 10/10 recommended. The price is the average but we were alone in the jeep, with a private guide and a driver. They made sure we were seeing every animal, explain to us everything while we were going around. Super recommended!

The property is set in a very beautiful land. You can walk to the lake and enjoy nature and peace in this quiet location. The rooms are spotless and very spacious with beautiful bathrooms with bath and shower. We also had a kitchen and complementary water. We had dinner there which was very good and set up in the field surrounded with fire. Would definitely recommend this property which is also perfect for families as the villa has 3 separate bedrooms and all bedrooms have their own bathroom.

One of the best places that I have ever stayed in. Villa was absolutely huge. Gorgeous outdoor shower. Lovely veranda for meals complete with a sofa and hammocks. Food superb. Pool area immaculate in beautiful gardens with abundant wildlife. Hosts could not have been more attentive or kind.

Our stay at Wild Lotus Yala was absolutely wonderful! The place was spacious, spotless, and fully equipped with all the necessary kitchen and bathroom essentials. The pool was super clean, and my 4-year-old absolutely loved it. A special shoutout to Ali, the amazing manager who took great care of us – his hospitality made our stay even more special. And the food? Easily the best we had during our entire Sri Lanka trip! Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay.

My friends and I had a wonderful time at Wild Lotus in Tissamaharama. Madu and his team were incredibly kind and went above and beyond to make our stay as enjoyable as possible. The portions at dinner and breakfast were extremely generous and absolutely delicious. The property and accommodations were spacious and well-maintained. All in all, a perfect stay! :)

A lovely base from which to explore Yala national park which is a 40 minute drive away. It was well appointed and comfortable and we enjoyed the pool and firelit bbq dinner. We had the villa which suited our party if 6 adults and a baby perfectly. Our one year old loved feeding the onsite goats and chickens! We arranged both an afternoon and sunrise safari using the properties Land Rover with an excellent experienced guide and saw much wildlife, unfortunately no leopard though - means we will have to return! The Land Rover meant we could take some routes that other vehicles could not.

The food wasn't the best and never hot enough. Tea in the mornings was luke warm but we made our own. There was no one there when we left so we had to load our own baggage into the car. No problem but very unusual for Sri Lanka. The two properties are very close to one another so if you are looking for peace and quiet, this is difficult to achieve. The sofa in the sitting room is quite uncomfortable though there is a nice wicker sofa on the terrace and the bed in the bedroom, though amazing, is very high and quite difficult to get into if you're old like us!

This is the second time we have stayed at this property. As there were only two of us this year, we opted for the smaller house which is really lovely and ultra spacious. Hosts are attentive and Jayanthe is a real master of his trade - he took us on an amazing safari where we caught a glimpse of a rare sloth bear. Gardens are amazing (there was even a resident croc this time!) and there are fabulous walks from the property down to the lake which are gorgeous.
