the guest house is beautiful and super clean. It's only a very short walk to aid Ben Haddou. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The pool is an added bonus too. 😉We would definitely recommend this place, no matter if you are only staying for one night or more.

The staff were exceptional. We had an issue that needed detailed and delicate engagement with local authorities and we only had to ask Rose's advice on how to best proceed and the matter was taken on by her and her team and resolved there and then. They went far beyond what could be expected from even good customer service. The people are exceptional as is the facility. Stay here, you will not regret it!!!

Pool was cool - but we had a quick dip anyway - too inviting not too!

Really lovely place to stay in Art Benhaddou. Close to the bridge across to the main UNESCO site, but a peaceful haven. Lovely welcome and friendly staff. Rose in particular, answered questions and helped to arrange a guide and make sure our other planned activities were ok. Great breakfast with pancakes, bread, choice of omelette / scrambled eggs and jams etc. Def recommend staying here.

We loved everything.

Loved the French food we had for dinner. Rose, owner and operator, is an excellent hostess. She drew a little map so we could walk to the Kasbah. It about 10mins down to the river and across to the right, to the ticket office.

Very quaint hotel! The owner is great and helped us figure out how to visit Ait Benhaddou. Breakfast was typical Moroccan but the cappuccino tasted like authentic European!

Gorgeous place to stay, great room and en-suite. Nice breakfast and dinner, and very helpful staff. The courtyard with the pool was a great place for relaxing. Short walk to the kasbah. Very good value.

Nothing other than I had a corner interior unit with a small window facing the courtyard and it sure got pitch black dark in my room at night and I didn't want to leave the bathroom light on all night, so remember to bring your own flashlight as I did and place it next to your bed.

Guest House Bagdad Cafe (GHBC) was immediately adjacent to the main entrance to Ait Ben Haddou but with GHBC's inner courtyard it was so easy and so quiet to escape the crowds and cars and buses at the entrance to Ait. A delicious dinner at GHBC (I got the impression that tourists staying at other accommodations were dining at GHBC). GHBC's front desk and owner/manager were charming hosts. Nounou Dada was especially helpful. I would love to know why owners named their lodging Guest House Bagdad Cafe but Mr. Nounou Dada was so busy drawing me a detailed map of the best places to visit in Ait and the best spot to watch the sunset that I forgot to ask about the origin and reason for the name GHBC.

Having to leave and come home

We loved this place so much we came back to stay again after having been to Mhamid for a few days. Rose and her team make this place super special with warm welcomes, good food in generous amounts and the ability to have some nice wine or beers on a sunny terrace (if you have been to the desert you will doubly appreciate this). The rooms are immaculate with well thought out layouts, heating and cooling, very comfortable beds and hot water in January. Breakfast was sumptuous and enough to keep you going all day. There are many side-quests from Ait Ben-Haddou that will keep you occupied for days and the Bagdad made the perfect base to explore from.

What more can I say than the other positive comments here. This is the place to stay when you are in Ait-Bennadou. No questions. Perfect location. Comfy rooms and beds. Nice pool with poolside sittings. The owner is really kind and caring, taking part in the everyday of the guesthouse. Both the dinner and the breakfast was delicious and generous.
