Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomBeing English, I like my "sundowner" - however the authorities in the city are clamping down on the sale of alcohol - something to do with licensing but not sure. So it was actually quite hard to find a restaurant that allowed alcohol to be served on the upper/outside terrace inside the Medina. I understand from others that this is not the case in the modern hotels outside the Medina walls. But that said, the mint tea Ollie served was excellent and a great digestive.
I had a thoroughly enjoyable time at the Riad. In no particular order, the aircon was very quiet (recently replaced I believe); the room was cleaned daily and thoughtfully, with the rest of the property demonstrating a similar cleanliness; the breakfast was varied and extensive; I felt well supported by Ollie and his team; the plunge pool was larger than I expect and well maintained; 3 sun loungers on the upper level seemed sufficient. The Riad was located centrally giving easy access to sites - 45 mins walk to Jardin Marjorelle was the longest I did (must pre book). At no time did I feel threatened or out of my comfort zone.

United KingdomThe bed was a little hard for my back but that’s just preference. Everything was perfect!
This Riad was the best thing about our stay! Essam and the rest of the staff were soo lovely and always went over and above. From answering any questions via booking.com to helping us with getting around in Marrakesh. The breakfast was such a lovely experience, the Riad was beautiful and the room was cute. I messaged to ask if we could leave our luggage there as we were arriving well before check in, they replied no problem bring your luggage, have breakfast and we will get you your room as soon as we can. Such amazing service! Essam was an absolute star! Such a kind and funny man. I cannot recommend this Riad enough. It’s a good central point to everywhere you want to visit.

PortugalThe safe in our room could be opened with a screwdriver and was standing loose, so could be taken away as a whole. Useless.
Beautiful riad with a fantastic staff, all of them really go out of their way to help. Best example is the hammam that Achmed pointed out, very local and not existing on google maps, but exactly what we were looking for. Nice extra is the minimarket right across the front door that seems to be always open and seems to sell everything from batteries to water to snacks to soap. Another nice extra: the wifinetwork of Dar Najat has a printer that you can use and that is on a table in the open area, so printing our boarding passes (which is mandatory at Marrakech airport) was never easier. Breakfast was awesome.

United KingdomWe only stayed one night but it was a lovely Riad. Clean, good size triple room, bathroom much nicer than other places we stayed in Morocco. Convenient location close to the main square in the Medina. They left us a breakfast tray in the room as we were leaving for an early morning flight next day.

United KingdomThe room was a bit cold and damp, as there was no sun coming in the room, however, I can imagine that it would be similar in other accommodations, because of the house structure in Marrakech, high buildings, no windows from outside in the each room. While you are staying in Dar Najat, you can always go upstairs, there are open areas to sit and chill, sunbathing, also extra blankets in the room were enough, so it wasn't a problem at all.
All of staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was always a lot, we were well fed all the time. The instructions given by host was useful, everyday room cleaning service was spotless. The location was perfect, in the middle of the old town, easy to access the big square. Wifi was available and good reception. It was good value to stay, I would definitely come back and stay in here again in the future. Thank you for making my family comfortable during stay.

HungaryThe additional blanket was way too thick and huge. It was not easy to sleep with it on a twin bed and sometimes it was too hot.
Everything was perfect! The breakfast is amazing, typical moroccan, we loved it! The room was fine, just like on the picture. The rooms in riads are usually not too spacious, but if you are aware of that, you will be satisfied with this one. They changed the towels daily. Also the staff was very nice, thank you for having us!😊

If you’re looking for a truly warm and welcoming experience in Marrakesh, Riad Dar Najat is the perfect place to stay. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted not just as a guest, but as part of the family. The staff’s friendliness and hospitality are simply unmatched, making you feel at home in an instant. The owner, Olivier, and his incredible team go above and beyond to ensure that every guest has a memorable stay. Whether it’s offering insightful local tips, arranging excursions, or simply sharing a warm conversation over Moroccan mint tea, their kindness and attentiveness make all the difference. The riad itself is a beautifully restored gem, with charming décor, comfortable rooms, and a stunning rooftop terrace where you can unwind after a day exploring the medina. Breakfast is delicious and freshly prepared, and the atmosphere is peaceful despite being just a short walk from the bustling Jemaa el-Fnaa square. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll feel truly valued and cared for, Riad Dar Najat is an absolute must. The warmth of the staff, combined with the beauty of the riad, makes for an unforgettable stay. Highly recommended!
