This place is incredible! The most wonderful calming place to unwind for a few days. We absolutely loved our visit. The rooms are beautiful. Attention to detail is brilliant with the lovely decor. Loved the beautiful stone bed and bath. The terrace with the hottub is a great place to chill out. Location is perfect for Essaouira. Will can't wait to return, thank you for a great visit. Breakfast was also fantastic

Very comfortable Riad with good sized rooms and very helpful staff. If you’re arriving by car parking is just outside the walls and costs 50 mad per day.

I loved everything about this place! It is so beautiful and peaceful and the staff is incredibly nice and helpful - we had to leave early one morning and they prepared breakfast for us 30 minutes before the planned opening time. Also, the bathrooms in the rooms have windows, which isn’t obvious in Riads.

Such a lovely riad in the heart of Essaouira. The staff were attentive, so hospitable and helpful. The facilities were wonderful and the breakfast was delicious. It was such a homely stay.

Absolutely nothing to dislike

The breakfast was delicious. We had different breads , croissants and pancakes . Scrambled eggs , fruit and yogurt. We certainly didn’t go hungry . We found this kept us going until our evening meal. The staff helped us with restaurant recommendations as well as places for us to drive to. The location of the Riad is great as it’s close to everything that you need . We would be happy to rebook if we were ever in Essaouira again.

errr, can't think of much. Due to the design of the building there is a little noise from the floor above but nothing particularly problematic.

We had a lovely stay here. Our room was richly decorated with wood and lightly smoke scented from the fireplace. The room was effectively open plan however, so depending on your room choice I'd suggest going with someone who your happy to share everything. Although if not, it would be no hardship to take some time out in the courtyard or the roof and enjoy the view. The location looked a little out of the way at the edge of the medina, but as it's only 10-15mins walk across the old town it was perfect. Breakfast was particularly hearty with eggs, Moroccan breads and pancakes, fresh orange juice and even my own thoughtful plate of strawberry's when I'd mentioned how much I'd enjoyed them the day before. Already wondering when we can go back.

We had a wonderful stay at Riad Chbanate. From the time we arrived till the time we left it was just amazing. We met lots of great shop owners and craftsman nearby and the riad was easy access to everything that we wanted to do on vacation. The breakfast was plentiful and the smell of cedar everywhere makes me heart happy. They built a fire for us each evening in the room and staff couldn't be any friendlier. We will definitely be back to Essaouira as we have fell in love with Morocco.

We were from choice on the top floor, it’s 63 steps! The first or second floor would be fine. I’m far from fit , so the stairs did me good!

Well positioned, a short walk from the gate where the taxis drop off. A short walk to the central high st market & many restaurants. The staff were wonderful, friendly, helpful & couldn’t do enough for us.

Pillows weren't the most comfortable but that's personal preference. Also a heads up if you want the fire burning in your room, it might smell smokey - but that was fine with me!

Great location, tranquil riad that was easy to find and hard to leave. Samira, Greggy, Hicham, every single member of Staff was so helpful, friendly, professional and kind! High standard service! The jacuzzi was a great addition to the terrace. The bath tub was the absolute best ever, huge and bath salts included! Fireplace in the room was romantic and cosy for the windy evenings. The premises were always immaculately clean. Also, there was a turtle! Perfect riad for our 2nd anniversary. Thank you again for the wonderful stay and for organising the taxi, we will be back!

The beds could be softer and the hot tub hotter.

This is a wonderful place to stay and a highlight of our trip to Morocco. It certainly lives up to the hype of the reviews. Rooms are quite beautiful and the hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The hot tub is lovely up on the roof and the rooms are gracefully designed. I would heartily recommend this place to others!
