Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

UkraineI didn't like the fact that the entrance was old, there was no elevator, and it was hard to carry a suitcase. There is no microwave. The interior itself is very much for a lover of this kind of environment.
I liked the fact that it is located in the center and that we settled at night, although this is not a hotel, these are apartments in the entrance.

ItalyA couple of details... No shelf in the shower to put your soap and shampoo. On the floor or balancing on the shower handle.
The room was large, clean and spacious. The shower was hot and the bed was clean and comfortable.

FinlandThe only reason we booked this property was because the payment was possible with card. When arrived we were told that it was not possible which made us loose a lot in transactions and we felt like it was a scam.

NetherlandsHad to pay cash on the spot, which in my case costs ~EUR 6 (atm fee, bank fee), while they could take credit card for the guarantee. This was a surprise.
The room matched my expectations based on the photos. Over the top styling, but fun!

PortugalOne major thing to highlight - the condition of the entrances where the apartments are located - huge disappointement. Old, without any reparation, with pieces of paint falling down from the walls. It's a bit underwhelming that the owner/s of the aparts have invested heavily in the apartments, but not into making the surroundings looking decently too. I felt like I "emerged" in my post-soviet childhood with old destryoed buildings. Quite a contrast after living for many years in Europe, I would say. :))) One other thing - I didn't notice that there was no elevator in the building when I was booking, and had to carry my heavy luggage up to 4th (if I'm not mistaken) floor. Please keep this in mind when booking. And last thing - the bathroom was not as clean as I would hope and expect it to be. Here and there I was finding hair belonging to previous visitors. I think I picked up at least three of them in different places in the bathroom.
I probably didn't pay enough attention when booking, but this hotel is an apart hotel, which means that entire flats have been renovated and transformed into separate rooms. Please keep this in mind when booking. Overall, the room was in a good condition, visibly freshly renovated and the bathroom was very new and comfortable. A separate credit to be given to the staff. Both ladies that we have been dealing with, were super friendly and helpful, and some small moments of dissatisfaction have been overwheighed by the experience these ladies helped us to have.

United StatesNo one on site speaks English, making checking in or asking for help or services next to impossible. Google Translate was difficult to use with the staff. WhatsApp contact manager gave me wasn't a working number and no use to text or call since English not understood. Entrance to building is by code or doorbell only. Office was often not staffed or responsive to the doorbell. Room not refreshed or trash removed for my entire 10 day stay. The halls and stairs up to the rooms are dark and dirty. I assume, because they are unable to read or understand English, requests are ignored. I requested a lower floor near my colleague. I was put on the top floor (71 stairs to my room) in a different building than my colleague. After 3 nights, they were able to move me to a lower floor but not the same building as my colleague.
The rooms and hotel location were great!

TurkeyHeating was too hot, couldn't find a way to turn it off. Fridge wasn't working. Showers were poor as the angle wasn't able to adjusted. Room was large but worn out and needs renovation. Staff were nice but didn't fix the fridge after I notified them that it was not working.
Location is great. So close to many good restaurants and cafes. Also close to the major sites. Most things are very easily walkable. I also felt that the location was very safe and there was a park outside the front door. WiFi worked well. If it was cheaper I think my rating might have been higher.

DenmarkThe location is very good - close to tourist sights, restaurants and shopping. The 'suite' I stayed in had some good points, but parts of it were pretty run down. When I tried to draw the curtains, the whole thing came down from the ceiling and fell on me. Bed was very comfortable and the balcony had nice evening sun. The place has no reception. You see a sign that just says 'hotel' pointing through a passageway full of graffiti. In the back courtyard there is a bell you have to ring just to the right of the passageway. The stairway up to my room was old and very run down, with faded paint falling off the walls in flakes. When someone finally arrived to sign me in, I was made to feel as if they were doing me a favor letting me stay with them, and there was much sighing and rolling of eyes when I wanted to pay with a credit card. I have encountered this type of lackluster costumer service before in Poland and Russia, and now again in Moldova - not impressed by it.
