The bed was a bit hard for our taste (but that is a personal preference after all), and we were there before the season started, so we didn't get to enjoy the pool, or the terrace. But will make sure to visit again, so we can enjoy them as well.

The location is amazing, it's one of the greenest, calmest regions in Macedonia. The village is small, and almost empty, it looks like time stopped there. The peace, the sounds of the surrounding nature - make it a perfect getaway. The house itself is mesmerizing, every piece of furniture, decoration etc. is carved and placed with a lot of love and detail. The hosts Vancho and Kata are very warm, friendly and welcoming people. They will surely make you feel like you are at home. Their homemade breakfast was delicious, the goods they produce themselves that you can buy at the property are also amazing. All in all, a very unique and delightful stay.

Home-made food and the politeness of the hosts, made us feel very welcoming. The quiet neighborhood was the bonus and didn't expect that level.

The lack of air conditioning scared us at first, but I understood that it's not usually very hot in the region. After 10 PM the temperature was perfect with the windows open so we had a really good sleep. We visited during a massive heatwave that's why some thermic discomfort was inevitable when we arrived in the afternoon.

Everything was lovely! It's a perfect countryside dream and I'm so sad we couldn't stay longer. We had great discussions with Kata, she's one of the best hosts I ever met and the ginger liqueur is incredible. The clear starry sky, the sounds of cowbells ringing in the evening, the one dog barking in the night brought me almost to tears thinking about my great grandma's house. The breakfast is really good and healthy. I really hope I will return there as soon as possible.

We loved our experience at Rancho, it's such a unique and special place. Kata looked after us so well. The traditional Macedonian food was so good and we learnt so much about the culture. Our room was very comfortable and we loved using the pool and having our meals in the beautiful garden. The food that Kata cooks is amazing. The homemade Ginger liqueur is delicious, enjoyed meeting other guests and made a little friend in the ginger cat! You can relax here, surrounded by nature and you can trek to the monastery! For people without a car, it is possible to get to this wonderful retreat by train which is about a 3km walk. Highly recommend.

Kata and Vancho are such a lovely couple, the house and the property are amazing. Highly recommend to take a lunch or diner because the experience is ott. The garden and the pool is so beautiful and peaceful. Its such a wonderful experience. All the best and highest recommendation.

While the traditional Macedonian house was impressive, the beds were not as comfortable and not particularly suitable for taller individuals, but still reflecting the rural ambiance, which was lovely.

Picture yourself surrounded by a garden full of herbs, spices, and vegetables, a home to the very dinner experience you'll have in the evening. Add a lounge by the pool, grooving to nature's finest tunes, to that. To us, this was the ultimate, worry-free and noise-free retreat from the urban turmoil.

The best night in our Macedonia road trip. Very friendly hosts. Nice and cosy rooms. In the middle of nowhere that's why it's great. Outside is chillin. Little swimming pool, quiet, great view for the stars on the sky. If you are thinking about stay, don't think. Just do it. Highly recommend. Yummy breakfast - fresh and tasty. It's possible to take additional dinner. If we have a chance to go back to Macedonia we will back to rancho. Kata, Vancho and their doughter are super welcoming. Hope to see them again ❤️

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this charming house nestled in a serene rural area, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. From the moment we arrived, I was captivated by the tranquil surroundings and the warm hospitality of Kata and Vancho that awaited us. The location of the house was nothing short of breathtaking. Surrounded by rolling hills, lush greenery, and picturesque countryside, it felt like stepping into a postcard. The peacefulness and seclusion offered a much-needed escape from the bustling city life, allowing us to truly reconnect with nature. The house itself was a delightful haven, exuding rustic charm and providing all the modern comforts one could ask for. The interior was tastefully decorated, with attention to detail evident in every corner. The cozy living spaces outdoor were adorned with comfortable furniture, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring the outdoors.

For us the bed was to short/small. 1.94 m of Dutch tallness didn’t fit ;-) There is no AC, a fan would be nice to cool a bit.

A rural paradise where you can enjoy good food, good company and good atmosphere. Kata is a sweetheart. We stayed 3 nights and all we did was enjoying the premises of the rancho. Breakfasts were a delight. Everyday new delicacies. We felt like staying with a friend. Highly recommend

Great location, loved the nature. Talking to the hosts was absolutely fantastic. They are very easygoing and open. The food they cooked was delicious. Rooms were extra clean, hot water in abundance, the internet was stable. It’s definitely a lovely get-away in nature.

We booked one night thinking we'd be bored. Huge mistake, minimum of 2-3 would be enough to really experience all this.

I've read positive reviews about this place, but to be honest, most of them can't do it any justice. If one was mesmerized by the photos, in person they'd be brought to tears by how beautiful it is. There is no camera or marketing plan that could depict the smell of lavander on the walkway, the vibe as you relax on the upper porch's bed, the breeze in the evenings or the pure perfection from the food. Kata is one of the warmest and kindest people I've met. If you think you've had "best" foods, prepare to have that idea shattered. That's how delicious the food is. Real pampering for your taste buds. In one day, I recharged my batteries, enjoyed the sounds of nature and just enjoyed watching my surroundings.

Hosts Kata and her daughter were super friendly and offered excellent breakfast, drinks and hospitality. Most, if not all of the food (breakfast, dinner) is made from local ingredients grown in their own garden or bought from the village. The host told a lot of interesting insights about the history of the area and the country. We even quickly visited the neighbour tobacco farm. All in all, the hosts were very flexible and helped me also reach the accommodation. You can access the seemingly remote village easily with a train from Skopje (1-2hours). From the train station there is a 3-4 km walk to the village. The village itself is filled with nature. One can just enjoy all the relaxing sounds of the nature and can come across donkeys and chickens in the village. The place is perfect for solo travellers looking to take a break from busy life and just enjoy the nature and relaxed atmosphere. Also extremely romantic place for couples.
