The AC didn’t work during our stay. The room did get warm despite it being winter. We lucked out on really good weather. The hotel gave us a fan and that was good enough. Unfortunately if you opened the window, the outside noise can be heard. The noise outside made it really difficult to sleep! It’s so loud after 6am and I couldn’t understand why. There’s music playing even though we’re not near bars etc. It sounded like the bins were being taken for hours because all you could hear was crashing of glass sound and the bin trucks. The windows are single pane and the sound penetrates. Please look into soundproofing. I unfortunately did not sleep well throughout my stay despite the bed being really comfortable. I think if you’re able to sleep through noise, you’ll be absolutely fine. The good outweighed the bad and I’d still highly recommend this place.

The location is great! You’re within walking distance to lots of historical spots and places to see. The upper and lower barrakka gardens are beautiful and the waterfront at sunset was amazing. There are nice restaurants like the Michelin star, Aki, Japanese restaurant. I’d highly recommend. Really really lovely coffee shops nearby too. The interior hallway is stunning! So much character and the breakfast areas too. The hotel staff were super nice. The AC in the room wasn’t working so we were given a fan when requested. The hotel breakfast was very nice! Super generous with their salmon and cheese. The bread was nice and so were the cakes and pastries. Limited but great.

A beautiful old building in a great location. Only minutes walk from restaurants and bars. The room was small but comfortable with an enormous bed. Free toiletries in the bathroom. The free breakfast was great. The staff were also super friendly and helpful.

The light in the room is not enough. The distance between the toilet and the wall is not enough and it is a bit uncomfortable to sit.

We were in the room without a window that opened, and it just looked out over some inner enclosure with piping. It didn’t particularly matter as we were out and about all of the time. There are some rooms that look out onto the main street which have wonderful balconies. The advantage of ours though of course was that there was no street noise.

This was a lovely hotel, very centrally located, and the staff were exceptionally kind and helpful throughout. Breakfast was reasonable and the room was clean and comfortable. The staff helped with taxis, restaurants and planning trips and they even let us leave our bags there when we returned for an afternoon to the city a few days after we had checked out.
