MauritiusWhen we arrived, we were told that we would be offered a cocktail but waited over 30 minutes to drink same. Some of the staffs, including the receptionist guy, were not very hospitable and treated us(locals) quite differently than tourists. We had an issue with our room door for which we had to contact a few persons for a couple of times. The door lock was not working from outside and the neighbours were annoyed when we were trying to lock the door.There seemed to be communication issues among the staffs. Another point is that we tried to go to the gym early but i think it was not opened till 8am. This was not much appreciated because as early birds, we usually exercise before breakfast, which we couldnt do there. The pool also opens at 8am and closes at 6pm, for which the operating hours could be reviewed, in our opinion.
The place was very nice and very clean. It is well situated and we loved the appartment, the view we had from our room and the food. The indoor pool was also great.

South AfricaAircon in passages would have been nice. Use of pool loungers should have a time limit as the same people used the loungers everyday ALL day. Could have had slightly more variety at breakfast buffet.
Rooms were very nice and comfortable. Aircon worked well in rooms. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Close to shops. Hotel provided shuttle service to shops and beach.

South AfricaRestaurant was good but needs improvement. Food was good, but selection not great. For example, there was a lot of spicy food and not much else for dinner. I love spicy but my wife can't eat spicy, so her choices were extremely limited. Very little attention from staff. We had to put our used plated and cutlery on the empty table next to us as no one cleared the table.
Staff were helpful and accommodating. Room was magnificent! Price paid for half board was excellent - real value for money. Hotel facilities are great.

We liked the fact that Steven even let us use the cinema room upon checkout so we could nurse our 4months old baby. Thank you Steven. The mall close by has a decent supermarket which is helpful
