Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

AustraliaThe house wine ( on the all inclusive package) was dire.
Snorkelling was excellent, the whole place was quiet and relaxing. They catered for my Gluten Free diet really well and the Head Chef and Restaurant Manager were very attentive to me.

United StatesI did not like the introduction to the facility. I was taken to my room. The door was opened by the young lady, with no explanation of the card key usage. The door automatically locked when I left the room. I had no idea of this. I had to request a duplicate card from the office. I was a little annoyed about being locked out. Also, I was given no explanation of the TV usage. Which remote was to turn on the TV and which one for the channels. The young lady who took me to my room just seemed to be in a hurry and was not friendly at all.
I loved my room; The chef did excellent with the food choices available. Everyone in the dining room was friendly to me and very helpful. My room was #201 It was a great location with wonderful views. I really appreciated the sun loungers with nice cushions and labelled with the room numbers. Plentiful sun loungers were available at the beach areas.

FranceThe food was very average, from bad to good depending what you pick in the buffet. The "free arrival massage". We got a voucher for a head, neck and shoulders massage to use in the first 24h after arrival a the resort. We showed up in the spa and the"free massage" it's actually a 5min massage. Basically just to attract you in the spa. We felt a bit cheated. It should be written on the voucher "5min discovery massage".
The reef is amazing, sea life is stunning, snorkeling all around the island, full of fishes and reef sharks. Our bungalow on the beach facing sunset was very nice. Bungalow has everything you need.

United StatesOpportunities for excursions were scattered, some in the main office, some in the dive shop. We also didn't which would be available until arrival at the resort, meaning we couldn't really know if we could do any on our day of arrival, and maybe not the day after. Generally, there isn't much information available in advance of arrival (typical menus w/prices, excursions, some of the other amenities). Dishes served didn't always match what was on the menu.
We loved our beach bungalow in the 300s, between the dive centre and Seanic. We were able to walk right out from the door, onto the beach, and into the water. It made snorkeling for our time there really easy. The staff were always friendly and helpful. The island is lovely, and well-maintained. We ate at both the buffet and Seanic, as well as a few snacks at the bar. Most of the food was reasonably good.

United KingdomMinor thing- there were plenty of staff ensuring dead leaves were raked as soon as they fell on the sand, which was great, but occasional plastic bottles/ocean detritus got washed in and that could have been removed too.
We had a lovely spacious and modern beach bungalow with decked terrace and sunloungers. On waking each morning we would see baby reef sharks swimming by and the house reef was fabulous for swimming and snorkelling. My husband completed his PADI whilst there and the dive team were great. We enjoyed fresh and varied food everyday in the food outlets and enjoyed the all inclusive option. Had a really great holiday here and I wouldn’t hesitate to return!!!

Loved that we could eat at the A'lacarte restaurant for lunch and dinner as part of the all inclusive. United KingdomAmazing resort. I wasn't expected that good. The way they welcome us top top. First second on the resort everything was peaceful and smooth. It was our honeymoon and my wife's birthday. The best private romantic dinner ever. Food amazing, especially lobster. I would recommend the water villa 👌. Every night they organise a different good entertainment. During the day, a lot of activities to do for a reasonable price. All the staff are friendly, smiley and happy to work for the resort. Thank you again for the hospitality🤩

HungaryOur room wasn't the best. Unfortunately our area was really rocky and windy the whole time so we couldn't enjoy the beach near our apartment. It wasn't a big deal, we just went to the other side of the island to lay on the beach.
The resort itself is really nice, the staff is friendly. The food and the coctails are really great. But the most important and the best one which was unexpected is the living nature on and around the island. One snorkeling was a better experience than a normal dive. The house reef is just amazing both the shallow water around the island and the reef on the edge.

LuxembourgI had a really bad experience with the dive school staff. My husband and I are no dive masters, but we have been diving for over 10 years / over 70 dives, and we have never had a problem on one of our dives / with a dive school. The staff at the dive school often appeared to be annoyed by us asking them to do their job, and getting information from them was like pulling teeth. For our first dive we had misunderstood that we needed to come a day before for a briefing (an honest mistake) and then when we arrived, they then treated us with such unkindness and a lack of respect or even common courtesy I decided not to go diving with them again after the first dive. Ironically, when we then made sure to ask them for a briefing on how to do the house reef dive two days later, the same guy couldn't be bothered as he was on his phone My husband went diving with them once more, and again the instructor was so unkind and disrespectful, berating and belittling my husband after the dive for over 15 minutes, and over things that related to the dive and didn't relate to him at all and that he was completely ignorant about ("you are only here for the instagram" although my husband doesn't even have instagram and hasn't posted on social media in 15 years). We are the kind of people who can accept when we didn't do something right, and will take feedback onboard, but the way they treated us was unacceptable and had a significantly negative impact on my overall experience on this island. I think the most important thing for a dive school to do is to make you feel calm and safe, and these people did the complete opposite. The one exception I have to make is for the Spanish instructor who was lovely.
Ellaidhoo Cinnamon was overall a wonderful experience, and has one of the best house reefs I've ever seen in the Maldives (we've been to 10 islands). Due to the island being close to the atoll edge, the currents are quite strong and the reef is vibrant and teeming with grey reef sharks. It has two corners either side of the island where they congregate, which was really special to see. We did scuba diving on the house reef twice and it was also a fantastic dive, with their own small ship wreck and a beautiful coral wall. There are also lots of great and famous dive sites around here due to its location next to the edge of the atoll. We stayed in a water bungalow and had sunset view. The water bungalow is semi detached, but great sound insulation and we couldn't hear our neighbours at all when we were in the room. The quality of the bungalows is overall really good, and the terrace is spacious and feels private as they've done a great job with the partitions. The cleaning and buffet staff were all very friendly, and there was a good variety of food every day. There was one cook at the egg / pancake station each morning who was lovely and made me artistic pancakes every morning. I went for three massages at the spa, and it was some of the best I've ever had! Surat, one of the spa therapists, was absolutely brilliant and gave me my first deep tissue massage, that was really deep tissue. All of the staff there were very kind and helpful, and I thoroughly enjoyed each of my experiences there. The reception staff I felt were a little disorganised at times, though this wasn't a huge problem. For instance, at check-in we weren't shown to our room or given a briefing on the island, e.g. where the restaurant was or timings, etc. In addition, at check-out there was lots of confusion about our transfer and our bill, with lots of back and forth in the evening and the morning.
