Real Bookers. Real stays. Real opinions.
Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandIf you want a hostel vibe I wouldn't stay here. Run like a hotel, housekeeping comes to your room every day and there are signs asking for tips. Would be great if you invested some time and activities into creating an atmosphere, as like others have said, there is none and I was there for a week. If you have a room by reception you will constantly hear the door bell ring as they do not give you keys to enter, reception has to buzz you in. The longer term stayers - old men who spend the entire day every day sitting in the lounge area do change the vibe sorry.
Modern, huge building with great facilities. Right next to the square if you want to stay down town (be prepared for noise). Staff at reception were friendly. Free drinking water.

MexicoThe bed is a bunk bed, and the upper bed moves a lot. Also, the room is hot this season; even with a fan, it is still hot.
The localization is great, and the place is beautiful. Also, it is very clean.

United KingdomAs previous reviews have said, it's not the most social hostel and not a massive backpacker vibe if that's what you're after but realistically if you're booking a private room, I'd treat it like a budget hotel, then I don't think you're going to find better in the area!
Incredibly good value private room with ensuite, just off the Zocalo. Room was cleaned every day and staff were always courteous. There's a kitchen, luggage storage and 24hr reception.

SwedenThe toilets and showers are located far from the rooms (depending of course on the room) but it's not that comfortable. The bunk beds are unstable and its really noisy to go up and down. You have to make your own bed. While I was there there was apparently some school trip and there was SO MUCH NOISE but students running around and shouting, and the staff was indifferent to that. I find that the staff was indifferent in general, they could be a bit more friendly and engaged.
Central location just across Zocalo. Free water and coffee all day. The rooms are ok and the lockers are HUGE. The hostel itself is big and spacious. It felt safe. The toilets and showers are basically clean and all the areas in the hostel are kept clean. Nice terrace on top. Reasonable priced. Towels provided.

United StatesWe stayed at this hostel a few different days during the week and two weekends, on weekends it's definitely louder due to the street noise so just something to consider if you're a light sleeper. The other thing is the hostel starts on the 2nd floor so there are some stairs to climb depending on which floor your room is, something to consider if you have mobility limitations, etc.
Excellent location, just 1 block from the zócalo & 24 hr reception which was amazing. I stayed in private rooms with my family and had a really comfortable stay at an amazing price. The staff was always really helpful and made our stay enjoyable.

ColombiaOur room didn't have a window.
Of course, the location is great, only half a block from the Zocalo. I had the best shower I've had in for as long as I can remember! The kitchen is one of the best I've seen in a hostel. The whole hostel is really clean. Our private room was good. Large. We didn't have windows, although there was a skylight.

United KingdomExtremely loud. Hardly slept both nights due to the walls being so thin and sound echoing through the whole hostel, especially from the roof terrace where everyone socialised in the evening and neighbouring properties blasting loud music.
Really clean, well presented hostel with lovely roof terrace.

MexicoThe beds weren´t the most comfortable and are quite noisy (squeaky). Would prefer if sheets were already on the beds rather than the customer put them on. Bedroom door is hard to close quietly.
Free water and coffee in the morning is a nice touch. Internet and showers were excellent. 12pm check-in/check-out is super convenient, much better than places that don´t allow you to check in until 2 or 3pm and want you out by 11am. The ladies who work there never seem to stop cleaning. Great location too.
