Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

IsraelWe had an excellent stay at this hotel - the room (and the whole place, really) was beautifully designed and very comfortable. The restaurant was great - we had breakfast there (included in the room price), as well as dinners, and enjoyed sandwiches, juices, and smoothies from the bar throughout the day. Above all, the staff were amazing and helped us a lot with all our (many) questions and requests. Highly recommend this place for your next trip to Tulum!!

United StatesThey don't have a late-night menu. They bikes they had were very old. The rooms don't have TVs. You had to pay an additional fee for spa area access. The mini bar was expensive and the pretzels were stale. They have a 711 around the corner if you want a late-night snack. Also the food was kinda expensive and not as good as the other resorts I stayed at.
The property was beautiful and the drinks were delicious. The staff was very kind and helpful. They made my stay wonderful and really looked out for me. They made my birthday really special and I'm really thankful for them. Upon leaving they gave me a cute bracelet.

United StatesThe incense was a bit strong after a few days. It would have been nice to have both an indoor and outdoor shower. Mosquitos can be around, so bringing coils for the private pool area is a good idea. The music was mostly EDM, which just isn’t our thing.
Rooms were quiet and private, with a small heated pool. The main pools were the perfect temperature, and the cold plunge and hot tub were amazing. Staff were great, and the whole place had just the right amount of luxury.

United StatesIt is in the middle of nothing between town and the beach. Just dirt roads in very poor condition and empty lots around it. It is an oasis in the middle. Not good for walking anywhere. Pool needs cleaned more often if all the falling vegetation.
The Room was large and beautiful with a private little pool and outdoor garden and shower. Breakfast was delicious and in a pretty spot. The restaurant staff was very kind. Music is lovely. The manager too.

United KingdomThe hotel is surrounded by trees so, obviously they drop their leaves including the pool area but again they are being constantly cleared so not really an issue.
It is a quiet, smallish hotel. Has its own restaurant and interesting shape pool ( not boring and rectangular!) Staff were amazing - absolutely nothing was too much trouble, very attentive. Other reviews mention the access road. Yes, it is in a state but taxi drivers are used to it so not a problem. We did walk out to local shops - took 8 minutes - slow walking. If you need a taxi they are called by the receptionist and they arrive within 5 minutes of asking. If you want a relaxing holiday this hotel is perfect if however you prefer a large, brash, busy hotel this is not for you! Plenty of sunbeds at all times of the day around the pool - no need to reserve! The hotel is surrounded by trees so, obviously they drop their leaves including the pool area but again they are being constantly cleared so not really an issue. We had a good size room with everything that you need ( no tv but who wants that on holiday!) Good size private garden and plunge pool - (size of pool approximately 4.5m x 1.5m) As mentioned above. It is walkable to a few shops but any further a taxi will be needed which are called for you by reception and arrive quickly Great choice of breakfast - juice, fruit, coffee and a main (choice of about 6 included) plus others if you are happy to pay a supplement.

United KingdomThe only downside is the surrounding streets of this hotel aren't fantastic, some work to be done but don't think that's on the hotel! However it didn't take from the gorgeousness of the hotel
The greeting we received from the Reception staff & security at Muaré was so warm and lovely. We felt at home straight away. We were given a tour around the grounds before being shown to our room, which was spotless & perfect. We definitely recommend! Breakfast was lovely.

United StatesRoads in for about 1-2 blocks were bumpy. Literally that is the only thing.
Hidden gem in the jungle not far from downtown and only a bit further to the beach. The staff are so kind and caring! The rooms are the most peaceful, and the personal pool/jacuzzi on the patio makes this standout!! The pool area was fabulous and such a great design. Not too busy which we hoped for in Tulum. The drinks and the cappuccinos in the morning were so delicious. Please try Muarè on your next trip to Tulum! It was a spa like peaceful resort.

GermanyOne remark for not giving the 10. I think the hotel wants to reduce the costs. The pool should be cleaned every day and heated always.
Excellent hotel. High quality of food and drinks. Nice and helpful staff. Tip: ask the reception to heat the pool, and don't worry, it takes one day to be heated in some cases like the one I had. Thanks to Brian which was helpful and kind during the stay

AustraliaYou aren’t able to walk anywhere from the hotel and taxis are super expensive in Tulum. The steam room didn’t seem to work very well.
Beautifully presented property with amazing pool area. The staff were exceptional! Super attentive service and helped coordinate activities and transport throughout our stay via WhatsApp, with incredible responsiveness. We loved the morning yoga which was included in the stay and the breakfast menu options. Loved that there was also a jacuzzi and ice bath within the wellness area.

United StatesWe had such a fantastic stay at Hotel Muare—it truly exceeded all our expectations! From the moment we arrived, the team on-site made us feel so welcome and taken care of. Their response time via WhatsApp was incredibly quick, which made everything so easy and seamless for any questions and requests, including matters about spa and room service. The entire property is immaculate—everything was always spotless, perfectly maintained, and cared for. The pool and property were cleaned every morning. We didn’t see a single bug during our stay, but it was thoughtful that they provided spray just in case. The little details make a big difference here, from the free parking to the overall vibe of relaxation and architecture. Everything was just perfect! One small suggestion for the future would be to adjust the path leading to the property, as it could be made a bit easier for cars. But honestly, it’s a minor thing compared to how high-quality and well-maintained everything else is and I’m sure it doesn’t even depend on them.

SwitzerlandThe tab water was badly contaminated after the second day, probably because of a previous storm. Weird breakfast concept where only a small portion of the menue was included the rest could be ordered as “extras”. It’s better to take the rate without breakfast and then eat à la carte. The road to the hotel is mentioned a lot as it is really not in a great state. However that is the case of literally every road in Mexico, and it was managable with our standard two wheel drive sedan!
Beautiful restaurant and bar area directly next to the pool! Service was great, rooms amazing with outdoor showers and private pool! Food was excellent.

The staff were absolutely amazing! Moni, Brian, José, and everyone else on the staff were exceptionally accommodating and kind. It felt more like home than a hotel, mostly because of their attention to detail and hospitality. Additionally, the chef in the kitchen prepared the most delicious and gorgeously presented meals. They were almost too beautiful to eat, and tasted equally delicious!

AustraliaBreakfast is from 8 which was a bit late if you want to get out and explore before the heat of the day.
Muaré is quiet and clean with a calm atmosphere. The staff are friendly and welcoming. This is really an oasis in the chaos of Tulum! It’s not in the hotel/beach area so it’s actually quiet at night! The bar and restaurant are great, the portions are generous even if the prices are typical Tulum prices 🤑 Yoga in the morning is a nice offering, with a lovely teacher. There was an issue with the water on my last day, but the team tried their best to minimise the inconvenience.
