Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

CanadaThe hostel was located ina very busy part of town. I would have preferred the NorthSide. Also, yoga classes on Mondays started at 8am -10 am outside my door.....woke me up.....would have preferred a less vocal yoga instructor as it was by donation and I paid to stay there..... other than that it was a really nice stray....

Netherlands- The whole vibe of the place is beautiful - Yoga lessons in the morning (I loved my class with Jenn!) - Very clean and comfortable room- I loved the rain shower too - So nice that laundry was possible too - Everyone working there is so kind and friendly - It’s a short walk away from restaurants and shops, but not in the middle of the noise, so it’s a perfect location!

United StatesThe road noise is pretty bad but that seems the case everywhere in Sayulita. Bring your earplugs!
I loved the vibe of staying at an all-women’s hotel. Met several lovely women from all over the world who were just hanging out, cooking together, playing cards, doing yoga.

MexicoIt is so pretty! They made it so beautifully. It’s very girly and aesthetically pleasant. The staff is friendly and i love the sisterhood vibes. It’s close to the main square and the beach. We share the facilities since it’s a hostel but it’s very spacious. Enough space for your bag/suitcase, enough toilets and showers.

MexicoThe noise! It has nothing to do with the hostel itself, but the surrounding is very noisy all day long. Luckily you don't hear it much inside the rooms.
I loved the safety and comfortable sensations of being with only women around. Everything was great, clean and comfortable. Yoga classes were wonderful Lots of shared activities The staff are super sweet You can feel the love in this house

CanadaThe dorms are all connected through the main 8 bed dorm, and the bathrooms are from inside too, wasn't a problem but all traffic goes through there. Staff also arranged a hike themselves and overcharged us so be aware of that. Ac is set to 25 if I remember correctly. Cool enough to sleep in but don't expect 19 degrees
It's a really amazing hostel and you'll meet so many more wonderful people here! The rooftop yoga was nice and the sitting pace was comfortable and spacious! Free coffee and good location. Would stay here again. They even closed for an entire day for a deep clean (no guests) which is good just before high season! Everyone is very respectful of the quiet time rule at night.

United StatesI stayed in the 2-person room, but the room itself was not separated by the rest from the hostel by a door. There are only curtains separating off this smaller room and also only a curtain for the bathroom -- so definitely recommend ear plugs! The common bathroom is very narrow and there's not a lot of storage to hang/store personal items during a shower. However, in the lockers there are baskets provided which can be used as shower caddies. Also, the bathroom didn't have electrical outlets.
The volunteers and other ladies staying at the hostel were wonderful! It's a great community of women. The common areas were nice, the kitchen had hot/cold filtered water and fridges for food. The yoga/wellness classes upstairs on the roof terrace were fun.

An absolutely wonderful hostel that feels more like a community of lovely women. Great staff, amenities and overall vibes! The difference between staying in mixed hostels and women only is drastic! It was my first time and I can't say enough good things about it.

CanadaWhile the location on the main road was perfect in terms of accessibility it was also very loud, especially on the weekend. If you have ear plugs it shouldn’t be a problem though.
I stayed in a private room, which was spacious and clean. All staff were friendly and helpful. The location on the main road was great with restaurants, bars, cafes all within 5-10mins walk. Very safe.

Absolutely loved my experience at My Sisters House in Sayulita. I ended up extending my stay here cause it was too good to leave. If you are a solo female traveller and looking to make some lifelong connections with beautiful sisters, this is the perfect place to do so! The workshops and daily yoga were such a bonus too! Would definitely come back to this hostel! <3
