Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NamibiaThe location is a bit far from the Park and since we had a small car it was difficult to drive to the park because of the rocks. However, the chef helped us to find a tour guide that picked us up and dropped us off after the game drive.
The breakfast was really nice. And the staffs were all friendly and kind. The staff are also very helpful.

Great location, very tranquil. The lodge is easy to find and there was a very warm welcome from all the staff. Comfortable tented room, no Air-con but fan in the room worked well. Nice pool with comfortable sun loungers. Good freshly prepared food and a nice bar for a cool beer. Excellent value for a lodge so close to Andersson Gate and Etosha. Would highly recommend.

Mondjila Safari Camp is in a wonderful setting with a beautiful view. It’s about half an hour from Anderson Gate, Etosha. We stayed the night before going into Etosha & it worked well for us. We had a nice family unit with a very good dinner & breakfast included. The staff were very friendly & helpful. We enjoyed our stay & would definitely return.

United KingdomThe camp is located about 30 minutes from Andersson Gate so great for getting into Etosha. We spent 2 nights and the wonderful Anne helped us get on a trip for the only full day we were there. The surroundings are very picturesque and the camp is lovely. The half board food is prepared and presented beautifully. We stayed in one of the more basic accommodations, but it was comfortable and gad everything we needed. I would thoroughly recommend..

South AfricaSome more amenities in the room like some water or coffee facilities and small bar fridge.
Yolande was excellent and knowledgeable about the Etosha park and knew how to guide us on the map for best areas of viewing. The staff was also very friendly and it felt like a good homely kind of vibe like we guests were part of the family.

AustraliaThe pool could use a bit of an upgrade as it’s a little old but in saying that it’s still pretty lovely.
We stayed at this property over 10 years ago and it better than ever. It has the perfect combination of features, including: character, comfort, African charm, friendly (on-site) owners and it’s only 20 mins from the Etosha gate. The green area in front of the main building is a welcome retreat from the dusty desert. If we are lucky enough to return in another 10 years we’ll be staying again.

South AfricaThe tents made a lot of noise at night so we didnt sleep much. Can easily hear the people next to you as well. Its a good enough stay for 2-3 nights. Slightly far from Etosha.
The food, the staff and the naturalness was wonderful. They were nice enough to move us to a tent at the end of the site when I asked.

GermanyThe tents are not too large (as is the pool), but that was expected. So really nothing to dislike.
Very nice location, very friendly staff and owners. Only 12 tents, so a bit of family feeling. We stayed 4 nights, and normally went early to Etosha, not only to see the animals in the morning, but also to be back in the afternoon for a little relaxing pool time. It took us 20-25 min to drive to the Anderson gate, so a good place to start the Etosha safari.
