How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Car parking was quite a distance away but thankfully one could park close to the hotel to load / unload bags - something we did not know earlier as the hotel welcome note said not to park infront of the hotel. Its actually OK to park to unload luggage then drive to the car park.
The location of hotel is excellent for those who wish to enjoy the beach. The pool and wellness facilities on the 13th floor offered great views of the beach.

The gym was a converted hotel room, small and stuffy.
The property was located right on the beach, close to the boardwalk and pier. They rented bicycles as well.

If you plan to have a breakfast - it's better to book in advance, otherwise you pay a bit more on arrival. Parking can be cheaper. It's only public parking that is available next to the hotel.
Amazing location with great views (if you select a view on the sea). Tasty breakfast with local Dutch specialties. Clean and comfy rooms, good WiFi.

Quite some works ongoing around the hotel when we stayed there. Good and clean rooms, top breakfast. A pity the sea views are blocked by printed dots on the glass. Good hotel

This is not a place for guests who have difficulty walking. The hotel has no parking site, and public transport has forgotten this corner of The Hague. Every outing implies hundreds of meters of walking. This is OK in good weather, but it might be problematic in a storm. The closest place we could park our car was Q park, some distance away, for 20 Euros a day.
The hotel has a lovely location. From the eighth floor, we saw Scheveningen Harbour and were rewarded with witnessing marine traffic. The view extended beyond Kijkduin and Europoort; the sunsets were magnificent. If you are fit enough to walk some distance, the area has good seafood restaurants.

The jacuzzi lights were not working :(
Loved the view from the bed, jacuzzi and around the hotel. The drinks were fun and priced well. The excersize room had a small but useful choices for working out.

The room was too basic for 4* hotel - no bathrobes, no cosmetics, no coffee cups, no house shoes in the room etc. No water at the sauna zone. There are two saunas (one dry 80*C for max 5 people, another one was steam sauna but it wasn’t getting warm enough). The reception area was smelly.
The building was pretty new and clean. Good breakfast and nice staff. Location close to parking and restaurants.

Room was rather a side sea - coast guard bay view, not the see side we've booked. It was quite busy with the lifts, it takes some time to get up & down (10th floor). From time to time, with a lack of personnel, it was quite chaotic at the entrance to the breakfast area (breakfast choices were good). Music from the neighbors room was loud (after 23:00)

Despite Hot tub being incredible, the jets after extensive use were releasing a small amount of dirt.
Incredible food, gorgeous infinity pool. Hot tub in spa room was a luxury.

The room did not have a bathrobe for the sauna, this would have been nice. Otherwise very nice stay and clean
Friendly service. Clean and great view. Room could use a more relaxing sofa, the chairs very beautiful not so relaxing .

The Gym and Spa was much much smaller than expected. The Gym is actually only a small hotel room with some weights. When its windy outside, it seems the windows are not 100% closed, and hence make loud noise.

The steambath didn't get up to temperature, room could be a bit more cosy.
Very nice hotel by the beach at a unique location by the beach. About an hour walk from the city Den Haag. A very nice sauna and indoor pool to enjoy during the stay.

The twin beds are not suitable for couples. They were very small, max 80 cm wide and the beds move away from each other very easily leaving a space in the middle. Niet gezellig.

Weather but that was nothing to do with the hotel. Place was nice but weather was unbearable
