Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Netherlands- Everyone says this but I am going to say it too "a spa hotel where you have to pay per day to use the spa" is a bit annoying. We visited on both days, so that is 30E per person per day = an extra 120euros to use the spa during our visit. On top of 350Euros for the room for 2 nights. - Staff varied from 'a bit beginner level' to very good ( the breakfast staff were very good ), the guy on reception told us nonsense like 'the superior rooms do not have a better view, they can only see trees' :D :D :D as if that is not better than a carpark :D - Twin rooms in the main building overlook a carpark and the building is so dull it looks like a motorway service hotel, very surprised they didn't make more effort for aesthetics considering it is within a beautiful wooded area - Hotel staff seem trained to just say whatever it takes to make you accept something you don't like "The view is no better in other rooms, they can only see trees". General vibe on hotel reception staff is that kind of 'we need to give a professional image and distance from customers to please our boss".
+ We paid extra to be upgraded to the "superior double" rooms after being extremely disappointed with the room we oginially booked... which was a twin, overlooking a carpark ( ALL the twin rooms are like this )... the superior rooms are superlatively better in every way... ( view of trees and nature only / much better layout / desk / nicer design / bigger bed / more atmosphere ) + The spa was pretty mind blowing... we are regular spa travellers and this was an amazing experience... the indoor/outdoor pool in one was incredible, the range of saunas from wood power ( my fave !) to Japanese style... the steam rooms, the outdoor hot tub, the sauna ceremonies... were all fantastic. My partner had never been to a 'naked only spa' and she was very shy about it at first, but after a few hours she was as comfortable as everyone else is. It becomes normal after a while. + The breakfast was very ample and good too, with loads of egg related things cooked fresh if you can wait for the one cook to do it and bring to you... great tea selection and coffee not bad either. + Staff within the spa were very nice and happy people which made a difference to the vibe

United KingdomLots of stairs for the spa. One of the rooms had a really smelly sink. The shower took a while to drain. In a quiet location so isn't many food places available late at night on Uber eats.
Location was great. Just a short trip on the metro and walk. I prefer to stay outside of the hustle and bustle. The hotel and spa were lovely. We arrived pretty late but we're given the option to choose another day to use the spa as part of our booking, we declined as it was the only swimwear day. The spa was beautiful. We went to a show at the ziggo dome and this was a short Uber ride away.

FranceOnly slight annoyance was design of shower was open, no door, and the extractor hummed all night, no way to switch it off.
Chose hotel as close to huge park, lake, and area of old boathouses on the canals converted into homes. It was quiet area next to a spa, tennis club, a restaurant and a café at the lake. Room was in secondary building overlooking the trees (nice). Good bed. Breakfast in nice sunny room was good, staff very welcoming. Easy access from airport (15 minutes) yet quiet and in the nature. The tennis courts were active into the evening, it felt like local amsterdam life, nice atmosphere.

United KingdomSupposed to be a twin room... The bed base was still attached but had single mattresses on them, this made for a very uncomfortable night as the mattresses kept slipping off and no room to separate the beds so was on top of 1 another The bathroom was only separated by a partition so every time the bathroom light was switched on see it in the bedroom area so if someone got up turned it on woke up the other person. Last dislike €55 taxi fare one way to the hotel from the Schipol Also prior to my stay I received a lot of scam mail pretending to be the hotel ... Almost click on the link I also sent messages to the hotel as I had some questions I did not get responses to my questions apart from one and kept getting email saying I could check in online but there was no link and no one responded when I asked how do I without a link? I didn't use the spa facilities €29.99 a day per person seemed high
The room was very spacious, it had a great size bathroom and I loved the shower and the breakfast buffet was amazing. The colleagues for the breakfast buffet were fantastic and gave excellent customer service exceptional. Het Amsterdamse Bos is a beautiful place to visit and walk around, there are few really nice cafes, restaurants and places to visit. I particularly like the pub 1890Cafe great place for drinks and food.
