Response from staff is not prompt. In fact they don’t reply. There is no one in reception even in reception hour. They just send messages with instructions and you have to follow.

The accommodation was a bit noisy, you could clearly hear the other people in the house. But is wasn’t too bad.

Accommodation was clean and seemed to be recently renovated. Kitchen had all appliances and utensils needed to cook a nice meal. Self check in and check out was clear and handy.

No curtains/blinds in our room so woken early by the sun. Ceilings low.

We were upgraded for free to their more centrally located hostel, which was a great location. Facilities well equipped, clean.

I found dark hair strays on my bed sheet when arriving - disgusting. It could’ve been nice with a sign inviting you to spend time in the common livingroom in the red house even though you live in one of the other houses. I took a chance going up there not knowing if it there was social stuff going on, but very glad I did since there was.

Perfect location, nice facilities especially when you’re a solo traveler and want to meet people. I had a very nice stay, where I had my own room, but spent time in the common livingroom in the evening. There I met some cool people who I hiked with the next day to see the waterfall.

A bit old-styled, carved out of old buildings, which is maybe more appealing but less “efficient” than purposely-built hostel rooms. Some 15 minutes of a walk to reach the center. A little pricey, but that’s more of Norway than this in particular

My unit had a (new) wooden staircase to the upstairs (where my room was located). The baby elephants running up and down made sleeping early in the night difficult!.

Hostel is made up of farm out-buildings. Quite pretty. Small but fine bedroom. Kitchen looked large and adequate.

Stairs to last floor were VERY steep and we didn’t really trust it (+ if you have 18+kg luggage with you). There was one beam in our room and it was preatty much eaten by some bugs.

We were staying in “The red house”. For the price, this booking offered great value. The kitchen was very nice and well-equipped, and the receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful. The convenience of having three bathrooms with toilets was a significant plus, when there were another people in the house.

Bit of a walk from town. Steepish stairs to our room ( Room 8 in the Red house). Very steep stairs to attic rooms (9 & 10). A few kitchen tools missing - bottle opener and grater.

Comfortable beds. Reasonable kitchen facilities. Close to Brekkefossen waterfall.

There was little storage possibility in the room: No wardrobe, coat hangers or any hooks on the wall. Where do people leave there (wet) jackets and towels?

No oven. Room was very small, just a bed and nightstand, low roof. Steep stairs, not easy to maneuver with luggage. There was construction on the building next to it during the day.

Easily reached by foot from the train station, close to the waterfall. Located on a farm, there were cows and pigs nearby. My building seemed freshly renovated, very clean kitchen. Multiple houses for guests, mine had 5 rooms and 3 bathrooms. Very friendly reception, bedsheets were included.

I stayed in the red house - the beds were so comfortable. Staff were so lovely. The place has quite an old fashioned / cottage vibe but if you like that you will love it. Flåm is only a pretty small place, and the hostel is close to the waterfall hike /walk which is lovely and it’s about 20 minute walk to the station.

We were upgraded to the apartments right in the centre of Flam, very conveniently placed. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, and we were pleased to have been upgraded. We didn't see the hostel so cannot rate that, however the apartments were excellent

No one to monitor the property when guests were there. The location was good but they kept the front door open, idk the reason. They could have given guests keys for the front door to be locked.
