Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NorwayLack of tea/coffee and kettle in room. The juice and coffee served for breakfast was not very tasty.
Quiet, comfortable, clean, good beds, ok breakfast, very central and close to city. Ok room size. Decent Wi-fi. Welcoming staff.

United KingdomThe member of staff on the front desk when I checked in was really helpful. She helped me with recommendations about where to go and getting to the ferry term in the morning. A real pleasure to talk to her and I felt very welcome in your hotel.

United KingdomWe really heard the lift going up and down, made quite a bit of noise, but got used to it.
Staff were always helpful, whether it was about taxis, finding things in town or certain foods. Breakfast was amazing, i'm still not over how good the chia pudding was! The place was spotless, comfortable, quiet enough for rest, but close enough to the town centre to reach anything on foot in a few minutes.

United KingdomDuvets are too hot for me, so I take my own cotton sleeping bag liner. The level of lighting in rooms is poor, and is so in most hotels regardless of energy saving. I found it almost im[ossible to read , and there was insufficient light for me to clearly see and handle objects on the surfaces, and especially in my case. Along with many other guests over 60yrs old, I have Macular disease in both eyes and require much brighter lights, and clearer printing, than most hotels have.
The attitude of staff, excellent breakfasts, sensible approach to room service and energy saving as a result.

NorwayThe breakfast wasn’t bad at all, but I’ve seen a bit more variety at other places. But it’s still nothing to complain about, the selection was good.
Close to the city center, hotel bar open at night, very friendly personnel. Public parking with charging spots under the hotel.

LatviaThe lighting in the room was very bad. It wasn't possible to regulate the heating in the room. The room wasn't cleaned during my stay in the hotel. There are only 2 TV programms in English, the quality of the picture could be better. It is an old style hotel, without modern furniture. I would suggest to renovate the hotel. My overall experince with this hotel is good, but this hotel could and should be better.
Breakfast was good. Bed was good for sleeping. It was very quiet in the hotel, I like it very much, nobody disturbed me during my stay in the hotel.

United KingdomIn the bathroom there was not very much privacy, there's a piece of artwork in the room that comes away and you can see through a window into the bathroom. Hilarious, a bit weird or kinky...you choose. Anyway, it meant staying as a couple, if you need to go number 2, you may as well be in the same room doing so, so we used the toilet in the lobby.
It was a very convenient place to stay. Very close to town and the station. It was very quirky (hipster) and a good area to socialize with a bar with tasty local beer.

United KingdomI know this is not a luxury hotel but I don't see why this one and all Comfort hotels can't put at least a kettle and/or basic coffee machine in each room with some basics like teabags, coffee, milk or creamers. That and a fridge so guests can keep some milk or juice cold overnight. The fridge I can live without but there should be basic tea/coffee making. It's not all about saving a few kroners/dollars. Could have had a few brighter lights especially for the desk, was a little dark in there. The bathroom was good but a bit strange in that if you slide the mirrors back, there's just plain glass and a view into the bedroom from the bathroom, and vice versa. Very modern design with some artwork on the wall by the bed - see photos. I don't like the Comfort chain's idea of a 'barception' which is basically the bar and the reception combined, so they don't need so many staff. For those who have never used a 'barception' before, it may be a nice idea to cut down on cost - but when I arrive to check in, tired from a flight and airports and buses/taxis, I want to check in quickly not have to wait for the one staff member to serve people at the bar instead of checking me and others in, who had to wait. I would rather pay a bit more to get a better service. I chose the hotel based on location, not on saving a few kroner or dollars, not for one person having to do all the work of running the bar and the reception on his own. Hotels have traditions for a reason - they work!
Breakfast was good. Room was small but cozy in a good way. Very comfortable bed and nice bathroom. Few steps up from the reception-bar-breakfast area, for the room. Not too far from the centre of the city, walking.
