We stayed for 3 nights on the 10th floor with the water and mountain view. The view was breathtaking. We sat on the balcony a lot to enjoy the view in the morning and at night. We highly recommend for people to spend days in Geiranger to truly experience the beauty and serenity of this place. There are some easy and moderate hike to do. Breakfast was good with a lot of choices. The room is very clean with comfortable bed. Book early… you will not regret it

The hotel is really old, you can see that not too much is invested in the facilities, renewal, etc Breakfast was ok, but every day it was the same

Location was perfect and our room had a beautiful view of the Fjord. Parking was free which is an added bonus..Great value for money as our room was almost half the price of a larger hotel in the same area. The hotel is a bit dated and due a refurbishment but this did not affect our stay. Breakfast was included in the price and was very good.

There was no hot water in the room when we checked in. The water came later, apparently they are reducing it. It wasn't wi-fi in the rooms.

Location. Breakfast is good, coffee is terrible.

In the morning we had the displeasure of seeing two large cruise boats in port. That's not the fault of the hotel but a reminder to enjoy the view while you have it. Even with the boats its a good view but its fairly abrupt once they pull in.

We paid for a Fjord view room and were very happy with our 9th floor room with a good view of the Fjord. It had a balcony with two chairs so we were able to relax and look out at the view. Breakfast was ok but a fairly factory affair due to the size of the hotel. The town is tiny and you will have no problem walking from the port. We found that entering from the road was easiest, otherwise you need to enter through some gift shop on the front side of that lower building.

    Breakfast buffet wasn’t very good.

Great location, right on the dock with great views! Beds were comfortable. Dinner meal was very good, the breakfast buffet looked great, but the food wasn’t very good.

Unfortunately, parking is not included but there are paid spaces at the rear of the hotel and also in the main car park by the fjord. The drink costs in the bar are extortionate, but this is to be expected given there are few other options.

Like all the reviews say, this hotel is in a great location, but looking a bit tired in places. The reception staff are very pleasant and helpful. We initially booked a 'mountain view' room but asked about upgrading to a fjord view. This cost approximately £30 extra and was well worth it. The receptionist was happy to show us the two rooms to allow us to choose. The 'mountain view' is essentially looking at the cliff at the rear of the hotel. We looked at one of these rooms recently refurbished but it wasn't much better than an older room. The view from the font was amazing! Breakfast was included in our room rate. The food on offer was varied and good value.

The only thing I didn't like was the crowd coming from the cruises. During the day it is very busy as the cruises are stopping for excursions

The location was very nice. We had a room with the view on the fiord, lovely! The breakfast buffet offered a wide choice for all taste and the menu for dinner was also goog to try the local dishes. Very big portions!

The rooms… that’s a different story. There is no place to put a suitcase, not even a luggage rack or any shelves for clothing. And the bathroom… there is a tub, about 25 inches (60cm) high. And you have to climb into it to be able to shower, no rails whatsoever (I am sure my parents wouldn’t be able to climb into it) When you make it into the tub, the shower hose is short, so you have to duck to rinse, no hook for the shower hose. The toilet is loose, and forget about a soft closing toilet seat. The rooms need update urgently

Location is absolutely perfect, our view from the room was fantastic. Breakfast is very good, a lot of choices and variety.

The beds are still super soft, almost uncomfortable for us. And what is a negative change compared to last year: you have to pay for parking everywhere in Geiranger. On the street in the same way as next to the hotel, in the parking lot below. This significantly increases the cost of the stay.

As last year, we chose this hotel in Geiranger this year as well. Not by chance. Thank you for the room type we finally got! With a view of the fjord, the harbor, and the promenade. We love it all. The breakfast was also delicious, and the staff was also kind and helpful.

The hotel is in a very nice environment. The rooms are clean. There are plenty of places to play nearby. Parking is public, so there is a fee. Considering the high price, this hotel feels average. It is used by tour groups, so it is very crowded at breakfast in the morning.
